I have watched a lot of drummers in Ghana. In fact it would be a mistake to compare any drummer in Ghana to Paa Kow. That's the fact. And the Bassist too is on another serious level.

Met him in Chicago doing a gig,talked to him told i used to play in a highlife band in chgo and that he sing like Pat Thomas, he was so surprised to hear a bro in America who knew about Pat Thomas. I love when has traditional ghana drums in his trap drum set up. One badass drummer and awesome bro.

Exciting video and much better than a previously watched video where they say he is the BEST. He certainly has speed. And is exciting compared to most. This reggae beat style he was playing was extremely upbeat and he held his own pace. I am sure his can be one of the BEST if he diversifies and travels outside of Africa. Yo don't you he composed the drums on the original track. Live band is not studio plus I'm sure he didn't even rehearse with the band before playing. So he had to improvise and try to play more freely like he would've done in the studio. Paa Kow is Godfather..Osei knows himself. Osei is the Father and then you have the current crops like BisDrums, Bato Stixx, Kofi Emma and Kobby General. You must respect the old man!!

Great one. I really love his composition. He's very original and seems to have develop the drum lines for all the songs with artists. I can imagine the kind of hard work he's done over the years where some technologies weren't available. I'm glad many guys have built up on his works.
