This plane shouldn't replace the A10 Warthog. The A10 is one hell of a ground support aircraft. Replacing it would be a BIG loss. Let the F35 do its stealth thing. The A10 doesn't need it and is probably cheaper to build.

The newest F-35s have a completely new internal structure not even close to the original structure. Its a much better and different aircraft. It's really a very advanced force that is really magical for the pilots to do maneuvering that can't be done with the original aircraft without tearing it apart and falling from the sky .

People often don't realize it is not just the abilities or how fast of the fighter jet but the pilot inside that fighter jet who has the guts to do all dangerous maneuvers in order to shoot down or disable your oppoent's fighter jet? That is the million dollars question AND only able to answer by the fighter jet pilot at that situation. So, all these talk about who's fighter jet is better or shocked the others is irrelevant.

The ability of America to make small, highly capable fighters compared to Russia and China's large fighters is striking. A lot of this is due to miniaturization of small yet powerful electronics and small yet very, very, powerful engines. American pilots are the ace in the hole for America, they have much better training and more flight time then their potential opponents. Then there is the better software that accompanies each aircraft, The Russians have always had a shortage of competent software engineers and China is only a little better. The western nations are far ahead in technology due to the freedom of western democracies.

If your argument is just “well it looks like ______”, it’s not a good argument. Su-57 may not look stealthy but there’s a reason Europe fears it, and a reason Russia doesn’t sell it, some of the tech on it is better than the stuff of the f-22 (ie: the jamming), they’re both powerful in their own right

The USAF F22 is the best Fighter Aircraft in the world. And so it’s been painstakingly copied by our rivals. It’s not for sale like the others are. In actual simulated combat it’s downed several F15’s by itself. The F35 has multi purposes whereas the F22 is primarily a Fighter.

I think that is the unsung hero of this comparison. There hasn't been a fighter this mass produced since the propeller planes of WW2. Add to this the fact the F-35 can be exported to friendly nations, it significantly lowers production and maintenance costs while increasing spare part availability.

I really doubt you have all the specs on this SUE 57 and those planes haven't left Russia to be able to capture so it could be gone thru with a fine tooth comb A FU35 can take out a SUE 57 if it gets up enough speed a '35 hitting a '57 could knock the fins off that '57 because '35 was made heavier with full running board fenders not just '57 fancy fins..

the f35 is not the only one to beat the su. Yes the su is an outstanding aircraft and apples to apple is better than the f22 but, and its a big but, no pun intended, If you cant see it, you cant shoot it and there in is the difference. While the su is a more maneuverable aircraft the the f22 perhaps, the problem is the pilot of the su wont know the f22 is in the area until it is blown up. So the question is do you want to fly a plane in combat that the other side can see, or the one that the other side cant see.

It is very interested how it will be in direct fight. Of cource technically - radar, AI, technical coordination of whole group - definitly is better in F35. But direct fight - only guns and pilots. Agility, smart pilotage, max speed and others abilities...

This is the dumbest, most uninformed video I've seen in a while. The SU-57 is comparable to the F-22, NOT the F-35. SU-57 is an air superiority fighter like the F-22. F-35 is a ground strike fighter that does air-to-air combat as an aside, only to protect itself and its mission. Stealth is the only thing the F-35 has in common with the F-22 and the SU-57 though on the latter, it seems it not really all that stealthy.

The way that it was destroyed has nothing to do with its combat effectiveness and you can be lucky and hit some of these aircraft in the way that this one was taken out. Even the F-22 the b21 anything that you want to name can be neutralized on the ground and even in the air in the military they have a saying sometimes you just get lucky.

It's an Indian/Russian/Chinese dude using text-to-speech, maybe even some type of rudimentary AI given how lousy YT is with these vids anymore. Even the best one's that can 99.9999% mimic real human speech patterns still end up with slight syntax errors, etc that sound "off" to English speakers

All the posted KZbin videos by weapons experts or fighter jet pilots seem to indicate to me, that F15EX, F22, F35 and the soon NGAD, 6th generation, all can defeat Sukhoi 57 easily, or even drones, fact is so long as fitted with the longest range air-to air missiles, it is all invisible range anyway. No dog fights needed, in real dog fight, it is completely different.

What the f 35 has is being able to use other missile and keep it's own let say a f35 and it's has buddies and it has the capability to use their missiles even ground base missiles it's a quarter back it's the boss you see a fight is to win not get hurt.

If an f35 fought a 57 you'd need 3 or 4 of them at one time to make it compareable.. keep in mind su uses an outdated engine that's Mach 2 speeds barley. F35 can hawk it and kill it with pure power

Please explain how this fighter scared Russia? it only has at top speed at its best is Mach1.8 not even close to Russian aircraft SU 27. But watch out for the Mig 39 it is all; scary for WW3 as Nuclear war is near. Remember Russian Chinese Indian American Nuclear Rockets travel over 25 thousand miles and Hour. and can hit anyplace on the planet.
