After Acclaim went out of business, some terrible company picked up the IP and made two sequels that only released for mobile. They aren’t very good either which really sucks.

After some time however, the same company sold the rights of Re-volt to a Korean based developer, who released two Re-volt games on mobile. I started playing those games in 2016, and I personally enjoyed them.

I recorded these tracks on tape via technics amp, remastered in pc, burned via nero as audio cd and then often pleasured myself with revolt music in my sony discman while fast riding on my yellow bike... And lastly I was pretending that my bike is a car KITT from Knight Rider ... haha sweet times with no worries. Maybe next time again 🙂

Because video games weren't as popular then as they are today. Granted even back then there were a lot of consoles floating about, and kids had to rely on parents to buy them games. I remember asking my grandmother for Mario 3 when it first came out. I think it was twenty or thirty bucks. Back then it was good chunk of change. Now you look at games with a sixty dollar tag or higher. I played the hell out of this game and I still have a hard copy of it in a book with my other PS1 games. RC Pro AM may have been my introduction to racing games but Wipeout and Re Volt solidified it beyond measure.

I don't see a lot of the younger gens making fun of RC cars that much (if at all), and also I'm a little confused when you talk about how "everyone says this is lazy" when at least here and in any other video talking about this game (with the N64 port) hasn't been rude at all and shared loads of nostalgia. Is the "everyone" in question game journos mixed with metacritic scores? I'd take some of these things with a grain of salt especially if you love something as much as this. I just started playing this game and it's a lot of fun, maybe that would help you feel a bit better.
