He does. Richie Castellano, who pays tribute to Chris Squire for most of the shows, plays guitar on “Owner of a Lonely Heart” and Andy Graziano who plays guitar on most songs takes on the bass duties. They also perform “Changes” from 90125 in some sets.@@dangillespy3000-v3k

I love Jon and have been a fan since the early 70's. He sounds great for his age. But I'm sorry to have to take an opposing viewpoint and say that no he doesn't sound as good as when he was in his 20's. He sounds great but the power is no longer there. It wouldn't be for anybody. It doesn't mean I don't like this but there is a difference between then and now.

The best song in the last 30 years. Rick Wakeman said that everything was connected with Jon Anderson in a peculiar way. If anyone had any doubts about Jon Anderson's influence on Yes' music, this is a clear example. 100% Yes. Thanks to Ritchie Castellano and his band for developing Jon's concepts. Highlighting the tremendous solo by Chris Clarck, reminiscent of Wakeman's best version. Rock on Jon!!

This album, this collaboration, and this song in particular, are proof that there is a God in heaven, and that from time to time He reaches down and touches us in mysterious ways. Not a single person in the early 1970’s would’ve dreamed that Jon would be cranking out a beautiful album in 2024 and while pushing 80 years old. Truly an inspiration!

The genius of this lineup is that all parts are represented: the guitarist blends Howe/Rabin qualities; the keyboardists blend Kaye/Wakeman qualities; the drummer blends Bruford/White qualities; the bass is Squire-esque and Jon is Jon. Sublime. 🙏

When they did the songs perfectly and in great detail I emailed Yes friend and said listen to these guys. Geeks have always been incredibly impressive, But the stuff they have written here with Anderson is music of the highest order. Now we have one of the best renditions of And You and I coming on DVD and that sounds so good it's nearly hard to comprehend Well Done! Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks' song "Counties and Countries" is nothing short of a masterpiece, capturing the essence of what made classic YES music so legendary. The track seamlessly blends intricate musicianship, soaring vocals, and profound lyrical themes, echoing the grandeur and complexity of YES's most celebrated epics. For those who appreciate the depth and brilliance of YES's classic works, "Counties and Countries" stands proudly alongside them, offering a fresh yet nostalgically resonant experience. It’s a testament to Jon Anderson’s enduring genius and a remarkable tribute to the timeless spirit of progressive rock.

This may be the best track of this fantastic new “True” album by Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks! This song is spectacular: it touches upon so many of the historic Yes trademarks, stylings and song structures with its song length, dynamic musicianship and vocal harmonies, soaring modulations, keyboard styles that remind listeners of each of Rick Wakeman, Tony Kaye and Geoff Downes, and guitar, bass and drums that sound so reminiscent and respectful of Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White. Yet, this song doesn’t mimic or replicate previous Yes songs. It is new, fresh, original and amazingly interesting! Throughout it all is Jon Anderson’s iconic vocals and lyrics! Jon Anderson is a genius, and a gift to all of music! We as listeners are so fortunate that Jon Anderson is still singing, writing and performing at the highest levels at his advanced age. Jon Anderson is truly a legend! Bravo and THANK YOU Jon and The Band Geeks!

The more I listen to this new collaboration, the more I feel that the songs are the opening of a chrysalis, hidden behind years of waiting for the proper time to release into rejoicing! If you dig Yes music, you have to get a copy of the new Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks TRUE. The songwriting, instrumentation and sound of Yes is there 100%. Someone in the Band Geeks does a wonderful “Chris Squire” type of background vocals and it’s never overdone. Jon’s voice is as it always has been and will forever be “Jon”; no one else has it, nor should they. The blend of the two vocals is the essence, spirit and soul of YES.

Amazing, mind-blowing, magical, stunning and... very improbable (with a probability factor of 2^276,709 to 1 thanks, Douglas)! As much credit as Jon deserves, I want to give a shoutout to this incredible band who have-apparently-meticulously studied and absorbed the music of YES over the years and are now able to create new material from that vast legacy, combined with their years of experience and love for YES's music, reproducing the YES vibe in an extraordinary way.

BEST JON ANDERSON SONG EVER!!!! so much to say, parts remind me of him with Vangelis, could have been one of the best YES songs as well.. Production work by Richie Castellano is SUPERB! all musicians are fantastic, one of the best guitarists out there, bass, keys both of them and drums ALL A++++ what a song (keys have a wakeman and rudess sound as well) TOP SONG on a TOP ALBUM!!!!!

That Rick growl in the mix is too signature to the YES sound to be without , imo . Great to hear it again .

This song is so incredible! I've listened to it over and over again tonight and it just seems to get better each time. So powerful and epic. So many adjectives apply. Uplifting and exhilarating. It touches the soul in a way that only Jon Anderson can. What a genius! What a musical magician! The album should be renamed True Brilliance. True Excellence! We are so fortunate to hear this music and appreciate the greatness. Yes, it reminds me of Yes.

I've just listened to the new album,Jon did it, it is beautiful ,magic, like the old times. It is amazing to hearJon singing with his 80 years he doesn' t need Yes ,he is yes. The work with the ban geeks is amazing. My eyes are in tears listening to this album, full of emotion.

Aside from Jon’s voice sounding preternaturally fresh - a miracle in itself - the songs and the extraordinary Band Geeks make this sound like prime era Yes combined with the best of Jon’s solo work of the 80s, without needing to make any allowances or apologies. This is the most convincing the Yes style has sounded in decades. Are we down the worm hole and can I stay here, please?

Just glorious. All the brilliance and evolution of the Yes ethos and the rightful singer. This is a wonder and gift. I appreciate the various incarnations of the members and the albums. I actually loved "Drama" when I was an art student when it arrived. But over the years the exclusion of Jon Anderson from the Yes we see now has had its sort of conclusion. This is the more muscular band with perhaps the inspired source of creativity and familiar voice. Squire and others have left. Howe is carrying on bravely with the current lineup. He is an icon of guitar (Relayer, anyone?). Still, the Band Geeks have infused youth and incredible facility to the the old and now new music. Bravo, all around. Music is for us to enjoy. Whichever Yes you align with.
