I agree with her in many ways, especially when she talks about how average people are NOT hyper-partisan and do not talk about politics or get outraged all the time. Most people are focusing on taking care of their families, doing a good job at work, having a laugh with friends, etc. Most people don't want to know if they're talking to a leftist, centrist or conservative -- guess what, a lot people still like other people for their CHARACTER, not politics. @Giada_De_Low_Rent_Tits I think she took $78 million out of NBC for excellent reason. It was patently absurd to fire a journalist for such an innocuous comment about Halloween costumes. She's Gen X, and we don't relate to such hypersensitivity in our age group. Halloween has no relationship to oppressing groups of people in our minds. It's Halloween. It's not intended to insult anyone in any way. There are cases to be made for inappropriate costumes, but we grew up just having the freedom to choose to be something else on Halloween- at school. Halloween has been banned for years. I have two Millennial children and one Gen Z, and none of them were ever allowed to innocently experience Halloween the way I was able.

You cannot be considered stupid when you oppose bad legislation (Obama Care) and the lies he told, re the health care. You are not stupid, when you clearly heard Ross Perot in 1992, explain the sucking sounds of jobs lost in the USA, due to NAFTA (Bill Clinton) ‘perhaps the worst trade deal ever made’. Did Bush, or Obama address NAFTA, nope...is Trump jumping in with both feet, and making changes, yes. @88Gibson LesPaul I'm not sure how you don't see Obama as divisive. We had higher unemployment, more "civil" demonstrations. (riots), crime went up, people stopped having discussions about policies and politics, and just started arguing. Society as a whole declined. Not all is his fault, but when you are the top man, you get all the blame. Same as Trump. He's divisive too. In different ways.

The NBC brass wanted to fire her long before the blackface comments, because of her abysmal ratings. I noticed: Megan has a very flippant tone when talking about Obama (and his one lie) or the educated half of the country (who don't consider Trump defying House subpoenas [or trashing our intelligence agencies or attacking dead patriots] as "just a bull in a china shop smashing some pieces of china that needed to be smashed anyway"). Then whenever she talks about Trump, it's with full breath and hushed undertones, as she switches into a worshipful voice: Steven Spielberg could add a cinematic backing track and give these sections of her interview the Lincoln movie treatment. This is fascinating to me: externally beautiful women who are drawn to abusive oafs. She seems to admire his strength in defending his horrible treatment of women (never mind the fact that his defense was to attack a man married to the same woman once, or that Trump himself has been accused of raping an underage girl). How she can viciously ramble for paragraphs about Obama trying to fix health care and help millions of uninsured and the one lie Fox has been talking about nonstop for ten years.... but Trump CONSTANTLY lying and covering up crimes that don't benefit the uninsured or any American other than himself is brushed over and dismissed with a laugh and a flippant excuse: "He may not have an adult relationship with the truth..... BUT" etc etc etc..... I'm not trying to judge: I'm just saying it's fascinating.... there is apparently some base instinct in a lot of women (and a lot of men apparently) to idolize a big fat fake alpha male whose mind is wired to lie and deceive and grab women like he owns them -- a big orange caveman. OH AND DON'T FORGET: SANTA IS WHITE!!!!!

Before Obamacare the litmus test question in Republican debates was the following: “is healthcare a right or a privilege?” The right answer was supposed to be: “privilege.” That is the fundamental difference between pre and post Obamacare. Obamacare, saved my life. So, thank Goodness it was passed. My kids still have me. Her answer is disingenuous at best. Grandmas were angry and sacred, because Fox News convinced them that there would be “death panels.” 🤦🏽♀️😂 It’s like these folks have amnesia. And Megyn Kelly is really good at feigning‘normal.’ But, the amount of tremendously racist comments she’s made over the years are recorded into history. So, acting like they never happened and characterizing like the Obama hatred and the rise of the tea party (many 2nd and 3rd generation of folks that had not voted since the KKK has been disbanded, and the passage of Brown v. Board when they self-disenfranchised)had nothing to do w race, is very dishonest. I remember when Obama was running and the many racist comments folks made on national television about the possibility of having a black president. It was a scary realization to those of us that ignorantly thought we were post-racial. It re-energized those same folks.

One of the most powerful interviews I have ever seen. I am so grateful for this Megyn Kelly

She’s so right, semi FOX viewer here, I didn’t like the question, but it was the purpose of the debate....I knew Megyn was fair, and balanced.

Trump answer was awesome af 😍

@@politicalflashback.880 Trump's non-answer was funny but a complete dodge - typical evasive politician.

I really don't like Megyn Kelly but this was an excellent interview and she made some good points.
@heeeresjohnny75035 жыл бұрын
hmmm... I think she made a LOT of good points. Most of (progressive) democrats agree with what she says. Obama messed it up..

I don't see how people can make these arguments with a straight face post Trump.

1st ballot HOF. Megan Kelly - not only a great journalist but also a great person. She described the 2016 campaign the way I experienced it. Quite accurately honestly.

@@heeeresjohnny7503 Neo progressives agree with her. They have been indoctrinated to spout right-wing talking points while calling themselves progressives. What a joke they are.

I don’t know how to feel about Megyn Kelly?! Like she sounds informed and aware, but sometimes plays too much to her Fox Base.
@timsteinkamp22455 жыл бұрын
Don't justify your feelings. She is an attractive, smart mother that has many opinions. She is also human with flaws. Love her for her. Too many people seem to think they have to like or dislike.
@marthahigh21715 жыл бұрын
She doesnt play to anyone , she is a conservative.
@TheBandit76135 жыл бұрын
You don't know jack. Her "base" (Fox viewers) have total disdain for her. She's a reptile. Watch her recent Fox news interview and read the comments. She will not be welcomed back at Fox anytime soon.

Instead of talking about how good she looks or how well spoken she is, can we talk about the content of what she said, please? I'm as Left as they come, but I found this a really interesting look behind the curtain of the right's rhetoric and bluster.

For me, best interview out of the bunch Thank you PBS Why can’t other networks do this?
@2004cyrus3 жыл бұрын
Oh simple. They have agendas. They can’t stand Megyn for her truth telling. That’s why NBC ditched her. However the guys at the very top of Comcast liked her and said so after they paid her the remainder of her $69 million contract with only a little over a year of work from her.

Great interview. I thought Megyn was truly gone from from TV. This was an honest and good interview.
@eginteractive4 жыл бұрын
She left NBC, at some point in 2019, but said she'd be back on air within the year. Most of the time with networks you sign a "non-compete clause." This basically means you can't work for a different network for a certain period of time. This happened after she left Fox as well.

Name 1 republican healthcare policy designed to bring the cost of healthcare down. Or any policy, brought to legislation that would bring down the cost of anything aimed at the middle class or working class. You can't.
