I agree. His father died before he was born and his stepfather was abusive. It's pretty clear that no male figure ever showed him how to love and respect a woman properly. I think that's why he gravitated toward H.W. Bush as a father figure. People give him so much grief for the cheating but his upbringing is actually pretty sad and explains a lot of what went on... and there's a lot we aren't even privy to. I understand why Hillary was able to forgive him. She knows him better than any of us do and she knows what his childhood was like. Plus, it's worth noting that no new mistresses have come out since the Monica scandal. Maybe that really was the wake up call he needed to change his ways for good.
