Holy shit this game is so ahead of its time. Ubisoft only recently started putting drones into their games a couple years ago. The fact this is on a game from the early 360 era is just mental considering those hardware limitations back then.

I enjoyed the ‘secure post’ strategy. Reminded me of a Star Wars Battlefront like game, where even vehicles are dropped off when new ground is captured.

This game was actually developed by the same people who developed Battlefield 2 for the PC. A lot of similarities. And Homefront I believe is the other game you are thinking where North Korea invades USA.

Yeah it was some of the devs behind the desert combat mod for the first bf who were hired to help make bf2. Weirdly bf2 seems to have more polish than this game. Frontlines isn't a terrible game though

They actually gave this game away for free last year. The offer only lasted a few days and there was no advertisement for it, so most people missed it. Did you try this with your Series X in 120hz output mode? I wonder if it would run over 60fps similar to the behavior of A Plague Tale.

Solid game. Therein lies the problem, though. Couldn't compete with CoD and Battlefield with just being solid. At the time, the market was oversaturated with FPS military shooters and it needed to stand out. R.I.P. THQ
