Belly flopping in dcs is something I've done before and probably will again and it's always a little amusing to burst into flames, but when the pilot smacked the truck and fell down I lost it lol good vid, keep up the good work

I would love to see more videos on DCS! If you think the frogfoot is hard to land you should try the mig 21. I think what happened on short final there when you decided to do a go around was that you retracted the flaps before getting a positive rate of climb and before letting the engines spool up to full power effectively losing your lift. Thanks for putting out great content froogle! Love your videos.

Defo more DCS! You're right, it is the best hope - went from an FSX slideshow to 60FPS in DCS. Btw, RTN mode takes you to the initial/final approach fix (I forget which) for the airport, LDG mode takes you straight there

Hi Froogle. I confess - I am one of the thousands that watch your vids but never actually engage in the comments. I love your work and it's you that has interested me in DCS. As far as feedback goes, I would love to see some study level heavy lift military aircraft. I think that would add a whole new element if you could be a Captain or gunner on an AC-130. Or handle radar or boom ops on a KC-30. This level of immersion would (I think) attracted a lot of the airline simmers and add another layer to the DCS world.

That was amazing ! Your final approach was meh... and I thought for myself : "Do you think he'll make it ? " Then I was : "Well, no problem, this is Froogle, he'll do the job nice and easy, as usual...". Well, kinda cool to see you're just human after all :oD I laughed all my heart content along with you and I thank you for that. I can't urge you enough to do more DCS video, especially with your KA-50 campaign ; I loved to watch you flying this beast with ease, as I'm still struggling to learn the initial flight procedure... While I played FS a bit, eons ago (something like 20 years that was...) and do appreciate immensely watch your FSX videos, I'm much more into helos now and DCS is my drug (I'm also going to have a try with "Take on helicopters - Hind", as this seems to be a nice sim too ; maybe on occasion you could say a word about what you think about it ?).

Got DCS 2 years ago, was tearing off wheels on landing and decided to go back to flight basics on FSX, now 2 years later after 200 hrs+ GA flying ready to step back into fast-jets in DCS. Hopefully I will have my gear down when landing :)

I have similar fond memories of a combat sim in the 90's called TFX based on the Eurofighter, I wish that had grown in development to DCS level. I was actually chuckling at your ending Froogle. I just love dcs and used to watch your black shark adventures. I tend to spend more time on dcs because I don't have 5 hours to spend on a fsx 777 journey. I cannot understand how anyone can have more than one plane in dcs as they are SO complex to learn. I started laminating the complete a10c manual and have got to 100 pages done. I still have 600 to go. 😱 Anyway would love to see more dcs. Great video. Cheers.

The Su-25 gives probably the best frame rates with the Oculus Rift and makes for an amazing VR experience. Highly recommended if you have a DK2 but you may need to turn down some detail. Other aircraft will work too, but even with a very high end rig you will see judder in the current DCS engine unless you turn the sliders down low. And yes I would love to see more DCS!

frooglesim Yeah I just realized, you been starting engines individualy, in russian aircrafts you can start them both at the same time, and the speed was fine i was landing at 400km/h and fine. I hope u will have more of DCS videos.

Nice video. Loved the ending. Little hint: You'd probably have made it, had you either left the flaps out, or kept your landing speed using half throttle and speedbrakes out instead. ;-) With that said, I'd love to see you do the Huey, and the WW II aircraft, especially the FW-190 Dora and the Bf-109-K4. If you can master the two German beasts, I think the SU-25T will be a ball in the park for you. ;-)

LOL! That landing approach resembled my own in Kerbal Space Program! I'm loving DCS' Huey. The navigation system remains a mystery to me, but sometimes just practicing flying, landing, and air-to-ground attacks is all I need.

frooglesim Yeah, I did get a DK2, but found that getting it to work with DCS wasn't as straightforward as I expected, given the explicit option. I'll have to try again, though.

Ostsol Works for me if the auto-detect in dcs is enabled, the rift is set to "extend desktop to HMD" and then start the game, sadly the main menu isnt supported in the rift so thats a little bit of a hassle navigating through there but if you just start the multiplayer or you finally navigated to a flight it works great

Etirion Got it working. Minor motion sickness, but it really was otherwise freaking awesome. :) Further advances in display resolution would be welcome, as the "screen door effect" is still quite prominent, but it's a great demonstration of what is possible.

You couldn't have planned for better ending for this video! I just discovered DCS when I joined Steam three days ago. LOVE this sim! I also downloaded FSX:SE and find it to run better than my disc version. I was recommended to drop by this channel by someone in the Steam community. You would have had that landing had you known (or remembered ) that the frogfoot has drag chutes on it. you were a little fast though, but as you see, that sucker bleeds speed like water. Nice video! Great Vid!! finally you are doing some DCS ;) Little info: All FC3 Planes except the Mig-29 and the Su-33 have AFM! and the plan is that these two will get AFM eventually. ED have stopped to do FC3 level stuff, stating in the forums that all future planes will be DCS level. (eg. A-10C)
