Thank you so much for this well informed video. Amazing job as usual and loved your approach at the different ways you can use the Architect. You rule bud

Hey Eric great demo! I would use this pedal as a preamp after my dirt pedals and before delay and reverb. Pretty much as you did in the demo 😀

Firstly, fantastic demo 👏 I purchased one based of this and a couple of other videos I saw, seems almost to good to be true! I do have a question that I hope you (Eric) or someone who owns one of these can help me with... If I have a tube amp with a clean channel I'm happy with, will this sound good running through the front so I can disengage the high gain and go back to a pristine clean? Or would i be better to use an A/B switch with A going into the amp input and b going into the AOR plugged direct into the fx return? Hope that makes sense 😬🤷♂️ My goal is to be able to use both of the channels on the AOR preamp but still access a pristine clean for live use. Any help/advice would be appreciated 🤩🤘

Thanks so much for watching! You’ll absolutely be good to run this into the front of your amp. It’s designed to be versatile and work both into the front of your amp or into an fx return. So it’s up to you on how you want to use it! I’d definitely recommend trying the pedal into the front of your amp if you have a clean channel you enjoy

Thanks for your prompt response 🤝😆 Can not wait to try this thing through a few different amps and fx loops and see what I come up with 🤩🤘

Me again... so my pedal arrive and unfortunatly my experience wasn't a good one. Let me fist preface that I'm a big fan of FGE pedals, I own a Massif, Soma and because of my suggestion my bass player uses a bass mountain exclusively for his dirt tones. I say this because I am in no way trying to slander the company or imply that my experience is a common occurrence... I got the pedal in the mail and couldn't wait to fire it up, I used a Ciocks10 power supply with a 200ma 9v outlet, a fresh Mogami lead from my guitar to the pedal, identical type lead from the pedal to the front of my amp (Sherlock Fathead). When I turned on the pedal it was the first gain stage on its own (AOR not engaged) and I was met with a high-pitched squeel, hard to describe, but it was like feedback with an octave up pedal, shill and ear splitting. I tried my best to dial out the noise but could not. I then engauged the AOR side and dialled out the volume from the 1st gain stage and the sound disappeared entirely. I then went on to try swapping out leads, power supplies, amps (running through the front and fx return of 4 different amps) but the sound was there to stay. I can see that Frost Giant Electronics has replied to this conversation so I'm asking the question, is there a chance I did something wrong in my set up? Or did I get unlucky and buy a pedal with a fault? Eric, if you have any input I'd be interested and greatful to hear what you think. No animosity whatsoever and for anyone who happens to read this I still highly recommend FGE pedals, they are fantastic! Regards, Ben

@@nooneknows3478 this is From Eric over at Frost Giant. For some reason his KZbin isn’t letting him post and he reached out to me. “Hey bud! Let's get your pedal fixed or switched out. I've had 2 pedals come back with that squeal due to one part failing but that's out of 100+ pedals, so please email support@fuzzworship.com and let's get this fixed even if it was from a dealer I will take care of this personally”

Oh man, I’m really thinking about this one! I’ve been wanting to play with those AOR push/pulls for years; this might be the best way to do it.

I would definitely recommend it! It sounds great and definitely gives you that AOR type sound!

Outstanding video! You show this amp-in-box style pedal’s strengths, (which are many,) incredibly well! I really like its versatility and how well it gets along with other pedals in the chain. Well done as always, my man! Cheers!

Stoked for this pedal! It sounds great. I ordered one in the presale. One question I had.. any idea if running directly into a tube power section vs. a solid state power section makes a significant difference in how the pedal will sound?
@EricMerrow3 жыл бұрын
I’m sure both would sound great! Any differences that you would notice would be manifested from the power units in that situation

That pedal is badass and, as always, Eric, your review is thorough and leaves nothing to the imagination. Unfortunately (or fortunately lol), I already own a Laney 100w AOR Pro-Tube amp that I have nestled gently on top of a Emperor 4x12 cab. So no current need for this pedal.

I’m going to say what I say about almost all demos of AOR amps. Great job BUT……how about doing a demo of 80s style metal rhythm and lead sounds? Just playing doom sounds makes it appear a one trick pony. I use my 2 AOR amps in standard tuning and they excel at those tones. I’m certain that the extremely faithful reproduction of this preamp by the guys at FGE would enable it to do these, too.
