I am darn impressed by that pedal. I would love to know if using it through a different amp with a different power section would change the tone drastically or only slightly but overall I'm just impressed.

I've run mine through my AOR, Rockerverb MKII, and a Sloane (Mesa Mark-ish) and I've noticed only subtle differences. I'm curious to hear it through a Rectifier's power amp personally.

Ive been looking for a good high gain Preamp pedal to use as a base for a portable rig. What would you say are your top 5? I really enjoy 90s death metal so amps like the 8100 and the Ampeg VH140C are really pleasant to my ears.

I love the VHD from SNK pedals, it is an incredible recreation of the vh140c. Of course I love the pedal in this video, the Martyr from master effects is a killer valvestate preamp the waza craft metalzone actually makes an incredible metal preamp and really does those scooped 90s tones well, and the ksr Ceres is the best modern metal preamp on the market, nothing else is even close.

@@MetalHeadProductions i actually have all of these in my wish list! The Martyr being my favourite because Death is my favourite band. Being in Europe doesn't make the acquisition of the preamps very easy tho... And the only pedal maker i know that has a preamp in their catalogue is Lichtlaerm Audio Gehenna which is currently unavailable...

I am just wondering if you could couple their previous preamp on the loop effect and switch between them two preamps let's say if you got a pedal board sort of thing and slave power amp if you know what I mean 😂

I got it right, but they were so close during certain riffs. Pretty ridiculous. I actually preferred the pedal when the difference was more noticeable
