I don't know if you know this. But if you leave the picture of the macro blank it just finds the picture of whatever it shows the tool tip. For example: #showtooltip /cast [modifier:shift] Deep Freeze /cast [nomodifier] icy veins shows you the tool tip and the icon of both depending on pressing the shift at that time.

Thanks for the reply dude but I had a focus target when trying it out and I made sure that there was no shift bind to the main key I was using.

I am trying to use the focus target macro. This is the third one I have tried that does not work for me. I was wondering if there was a wow setting I might be overlooking that would make shift focus macros not work.

For macro beginners instead of doing the nomodifier you just do a semiColon (;) after the spell and insert the spell again. This will cast at your target. e.g. /cast [mod: shift, @focus]Spell Here (This spell for focus); Spell Here(This spell is for target)

That's a good question. Frost and destro seem to be the best of their respective classes in my opinion, but when it came down to it I think a mage would be better.

Cartoonz (or any intelligent mage), why do you have fire blast binded to any key if it has no use anymore? the glyph that makes your frost bomb instantly explode is no longer in the game?

Because Mirrors is on Global cooldown, usually when I pop my offensive CDs I don't have time to waste for a global cd.

hey, How are the keys used to move your character in game? I saw in your video you using "A", "W", "D" to spells.

1. You need a focus target! 2. Keybinds come before modifier macros, e.g. you put that modifier macro on Actionbutton1 which is keybound to "1", but standard wow keybinds shift+1 is switching actionbar1, so pressing shift+1 you still switch actionbar1 but do not execute your macro. you need to unbind shift+1 or the macro will not work.

Hey Cartoonz, I tried your polymorph macro and an emote saying "You need to be petted" comes up whenever I target something that can't be polymorphed, such as a friendly target. Is that normal?

Well, I see S and F are keybinded too, how does he walk left/right? I think he only walks with A + D and mouse for forward.

I looked at some of your keybinds and I assume you use the two mouse buttons to move. Is this better than WASD key movement? The thing is my brain is already hardwired to move with those keys and making a change to running with the mouse will suck :(.

Also with your Ice Block macro, that's not great because if you spam the button which taking damage, even a little bit, it will just take you out of IB if you didn't want to. You should have a mashable one then macro the cancel aura into Frostbolt or something. That way there is no way of canceling your aura by accident, but you can still do it quickly if you need to.

Cancelaura gets you out quicker than just clicking it again, it takes a few seconds for it to register to cancel the block if you dont have a cancelaura

The issue with that for me is how does he move when he is aiming his mouse around to do shit? O.o he jumps a lot and that gives him a small amount of time to move his mouse where he wants but i am quite curious about this as well, i wonder how its done.

A lot of high rated players use the "ESDF" keys instead of the "WASD" keys, it gives them 2 extra keybinds (W & A)

You should probably put a cancel pyroblast into your spellsteal macro, that way if you're fighting a Fire Mage and you grab their pyroblast proc, you instantly cancel it before they can steal it back...

Been using the Orb/Trink macro for ages and just the other day I ran into some trouble with it. After doing a WotLK HC the macro wasn't working at all and it pissed me off real bad, about 5 hours later I realised it tried to "cast" the item Frozen Orb that drops from WotLK HCs that I had in my bag. Just a little heads up if anyone runs into the same problem, get rid of the item, restart wow and you'll be golden.

Polymorph mouseover macro. Bind a key to "Shift+Mousebutton 1" (left click) then make a mouseover polymorph macro and assign to that keybind. Works really good for me :)

you change talents and glyph so adjust for the team your playing. Like pom rof is great against thug cleave for the stampede unless your team has another counter for it. but for against a comp that doesn't have insane caster control you can run blazing speed to get out of snares and bad los situations.
