the fact that in scenario 1 you keep hearing from london as some kind of reassurance that humanity still has a hold, then in refugees you hear about its demise, and here, you hear about the very city you build as your proof that humanity has a hold, then see it burn to ashes. You always end up with that feeling of "we are the very last ones"

What I liked about this scenario is that you're not set in a city. No generators, no farming, hunting, not much of anything. Your primary advantage is the infinite amount of steel and trading is the only means to get the other resources. Which is why I think this is a better fit

Gatherer, hunter and trader challenge jacky? Not allowed are: walldrills, stealworks, sawmills, coalmines, hothouses, AND coalthumpers. The hunters are ONLY allowed in the time before the first storm. (Im sure that you will manage it ^^) so, beside the gathering piles you got no selfsufficent ressource income. It all comes from your scouts and the other settlements. You will also have to accept every survivor you find. Sending them home is enough, but they HAVE ro reach the city. (This will be a hell of a ton of fun!) PS: you could also try a new ending where you got only children left in your city!

@@DDRJake jake, sorry for the abrubt overwriting but here's a little change of plans: the hunters are ONLY allowed in the time before the first storm. The hot springs should be "needed" as well. AND heres another challenge in the challenge: (its voluntary, i dont want to press you too much new things on your nose) you have to accept every survivor that you find in the frostland. (Sending them home is enough, but they HAVE to reach the city)

If you build them up to only lvl 2 I think you can make the safe route. That route is expensive, but will give you food/wood for free every other day. The other improvements is for both initial food/wood and also for more pr free shipment and more for when you trade.

I mean....they could have done off screen skirmishes, a special unit for the beacon to conduct raids...they added a nice diplomacy aspect now imagine turning up to outposts with a Militia or intercepting transports slowly starving new London into capitulation.

Soup is powerful when combined with moonshine, but that means signing 3 laws (fight club, pub and moonshine) which is time better spent signing other laws AND enjoying the massive food output of sawdust. Yep, sawdust is king.

Kind of a sad DLC to finish this wonderful game on, after all the cool theories of this one being about the dreadnought, or reclaiming London or something... My only hope is that theres a sequel planned and thats where the '1916' end teaser comes from, that makes it look like its the end of the territory.

Maybe that 1916 teaser is when the Frostlanders survived the frost and adapted to the cold climate. Thus years later in 1916 they would be building bigger cities and the steam lorries that bring goods through camps would now be laid with train track and more lorries that ran the roads. Chances are that the frostlanders managed to send an expedition far south to London and attempt to rebuild the city.

For 50 wood you get 50% increase in steel procurement for 12 hours. If you get 9 steel on average, with the bonus you will get addtional 4,5 steel per hour, times 12 which comes out to 54 units of steel. Given how you get decent amount of wood from frozen camp for mere 30 coal 20 rations and you can ask them for more occasionally, i'd say it's a very decent return.

About the staving people - before they chow down the raw food in the night, leave the cookhouse staffed first before the work time. the people will not panic eat the raw food until they are cooked. (must be at chilly at night as well)

I have an idea for a new challenge. True 100% Extreme mode Rifts Builders mode Settlements You have to do everything you did in the other 100% plus building a perfect generator, getting all settlements loyal to you plus fully developing all settlements. The real challenge would be your endurance as this would take a VERY long time.

Builders mode has a nasty bug where, once you finish it, you can't build in the inner ring, making it feel like a real let down to complete... I don't think I'll be playing builder mode again.

Also, after watching your Frostpunk Content in the last few years i consider myself a "Backseat Pro". Its like Sports for me. I like watching IceHockey but don't play it myself. Same goes for Starcraft 2. I enjoy watching the "Pros" but i don't like to play RTS competitively myself.

I bought this game when first came out and got my ass kicked and set it aside. I heard all the fuzz about the new DLCs and once again, fool me, tried my luck( just to see my people dying (that 'ding' sound is traumatizing!). Then I found Jake and not only I learned so much about the game mechanics but also fell in love with it, (I am a big fan of city building games and rough edges). I can tell that I am kicking ass now and telling everyone to "GET BACK TO WORK!" without letting the game make me feel like a bad person (lol) and is so much fun.. Also, Jake, you do make sawdust burgers sounds very yummie!! :)

I don't think this game has any cheat codes. If you want to activate cheats for the fun of it, I'm sure there are trainers out there if you get a program like Cheat Engine.
