You can choose to play a team of one character, two characters, or three characters. Picking more characters gives you more options with the tag mechanics, but each team shares a health pool, so each character on a 3 character team has one third as much health as the character on a solo team.

There's 16 characters in total and only 3 of them (Valentine, Peacock, and Double) weren't played iirc but pretty much everyone is viable its mostly about who you wanna play :^]

The game is fairly balanced but the 3 “glue” characters (Annie, Big Band, and Double) pretty much fit in any team and crowd out other weaker characters for team slots.
