One of my favorite parts that sticks out in my mind in this book is when Eddie bought the Pepsi and Roland felt like he was on speed!! I got a laugh out of that.

Completely missed the part about Detta looking through the door to see Odetta and merging into Susannah. Also, cool how you pointed out that is another meaning of "Drawing of the Three." It got me to thinking, might the title also refer to Roland's drawing hand only having three fingers now? That's probably a stretch though.

Castrates him as a gunslinger. Well said. After this point Eddie , Susannah, Jake, Oy and Callahan become his chosen weapons. Like David the hawk during his trial.

Hey Frosty, I'm on my 14th king book that I've read this year including The stand, it, 11/22/63 and i must say that this book might be my favourite yet. That whole part with Eddie all strung out and the gunslinger inside of him and taking charge was just a lot of fun... Also I laughed when Roland drank a Pepsi, he's turned out to be such a cool character.. Anyway another awesome review...

You did this review in 2015, but here in 2019 it helps so much. I, myself, am on my journey to the Dark Tower and have to be reminded by Frosty Knives exactly what has happened on my quest before reading each book. Here’s to my continued journey with Wizard and Glass. Thanks for the reviews!!

Nathan Towns it's because when he talks with his hands and wave them around, the camera is having trouble focusing on the subject. He should put his hands down and not in front or in the camera. That way the walls will not wiggle around.😎

Just finished this book! Great read and great review! What are your thoughts on reading wind through the key hole after wizards and glass or should I wait until after reading everything else?
@colinmacvicar25077 жыл бұрын
The Gunslinger Followed The first time I read the series I read it at the end. I'm reading them again for the third time now and I totally suggest reading it where it should be, after wizard and glass. It's essentially a stand-alone story but it fits in perfectly and won't give anything away.

is this review spoiler free or no? it's 16 min long so i feel like you're doing more of a summary than a review. well maybe by review you mean an actual review over the events that occurred in the novel. idk. someone let me know so i can watch the video. actually i only have like 50 pages left in it so i guess i'll just finish it up lol. nvm

Viewers be glad *I* didn’t write this one. Mine woulda had me abducting the 1960s’ Raquel Welch, trapping her in Midworld w me, and I’d keep sending Eddie back to NYC to pick up toots & keep robbin pharmacies for Welch & I as we get loaded & shoot rats & lobstrocities for laughs, like Sean Penn in “Sweet & Low Down.” Thinkin of it, that ain’t a half-bad read. 🥴

...dude I ain't gonna lie, I hate this book. I totally hate this book, I hated it 12 years ago when I first read it, and I still hate it now. What the fuck was Stephen King thinking? And I'm not talking about Roland losing some fingers and a toe in the beginning, I'm talking about why the fuck after totally getting hypnotized by Roland's romantic macabre world in the first book, whey the fuck would I ever want to then read a second book that takes place almost entirely in my world? And even worse why did King ever think in a million years that a snarky smart aleckly junky punk, and a woman with TWO PERSONALITIES AND NO LEGS would make for good companions, would make for good characters to add to Roland's universe!? I swear this piece of crap book truly makes me feel like Father Callahan at the end of Salem's Lot, because through the Dark Tower series I was promised the ultimate of stories from the ultimate of story tellers but it's not, it does not deliver at all and I think the "Kingites" that say it does are crazy, and if King cannot write this 'ultimate story of stories" than who can? Stephanie Meyers? Shut the fuck up! And I think the reason he can't is, as brilliant as he is, it's quite simple, unlike his character Roland always madly obsessed with his Tower Quest, King was just never that committed, he was never really all that focused on it at all and that's why Roland's quest is forever in limbo. I honestly think it was always something that he just simply felt obliged to complete maybe for the sake of his 19 year old self and nothing more. I honestly thought after all these years I would start to take a liking to book two but no....it still pissed me of....I still hate it,, although maybe I should be thankful 12 years ago this book pissed me off so badly that I actually started writing novels for myself and have been enjoying it ever since so there's always that. Anyways thanks, I've had a whole lot of fun catching up on my king this year, so thanks for inspiring me to do it in the first place. Maybe next year I'll start back up again.....whatever. Peace. Fuck the Tower!!!! Kill Vegans!!!! All hail Megatron.
