In this episode of Sailing Nandji, manoeuvring Nandji around other vessels has always been challenging and as we rarely spend time in marina's, it always get me nervous. Marina's are always tight quarters surrounded by expensive things you do not want to crash into!
Making our way out of the pen and into the haul out cradle, all my worries were pout to rest as we place Nandji on the hard stand and begin our second major refit in preparation for the new crew member who will be here before we know it!
We move everything off of Nandji and let the boat work begin! We plan to complete a major overhaul and upgrade to Nandji's living quarters. Removing everything from Nandji and starting from scratch!
With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off from Australia sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra to live the island life and chase the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we returned to Thailand to wait for the weather and begin our journey to the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! We were on our shake down sail when the mooring we were on failed and our home ended up on the reef. We saved the old girl and got her back to the boat yard for repairs to continue on our adventure! Ready to sail across the Indian Ocean, we were only days away from leaving when the pandemic begun closing countries around us... We are stuck for now, but enjoying the slower pace!
We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm offshore. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. We have experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our lives doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades around the World!

You two are adorable! I have only watched your channel for a few months but the more I watch, the more I want to watch. As a former live aboard yacht lady on a slim budget, I can relate. So thankful that you found that apartment! Let the guys do the boat work Bonita and just enjoy the comforts and your baby will enjoy too. Pull the shorts down and show that baby bump off - so cute! Much love from the USA.

Bonita looks great either way. Yesterday we celebrated thanksgiving and reflected on things we are thankful for.I discovered Sailing Nandji during this shit show of a year and for that I am very thankful. Thanks for offering a look into your exciting lives. The first episode I ever saw Nandji was sitting on a reef and I was immediately invested in your story. The way things have progressed since then with Yosh’s determination to repair her, the way you’ve dealt with the pandemic and now a baby on the way has been an appreciated distraction from 2020. Thank you

You two are so happy! I signed back up to become a Patron. And Yosh, you walking around the yard in the previous vid I watched with indecision regarding you, Bon and Bun, and if it is the right place, etc would have never happened before when it was just the two of you...welcome to parenthood! You will have countless hours of worry, indecision and planning in the future. Wish you all the best!

Yosh and Bonita, You guys will give ANYTHING a crack. Talk about the whole package. Look after yourselves and I know you will do a good job. Wise move not camping amongst the dust and fumes .Hope the flat is not too far away. Our daughter is still hanging in for early January. Remember to have at least 1 beer every day Yosh and Bonita, plenty to drink (water, juice, milk etc) for two. Looking forward to the big day when you 2 become 3 = 1. Bottom paint doesn't seem to been doing its job but you haven't been doing a whole lot of sailing. Cheers.

Looks like you are doing very well without too much stress. I know it is a tremendous amount of work, but just do what you can every day and don't worry about the future trials until they get here. Remember, you saved Nandji from a reef for crying out loud. So, you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Advice on ship-handling : Always keep a very loud siren to hand when manoeuvring , you can warn others with and it can drown out that terrible sound of steel tearing into concrete.

I'm so happy you found a place to stay. Now Bonita can chill and enjoy a soothing bath. Yosh will have the boat ready in no time. Maybe Marley can swim in the pool. That baby bump is beautiful. No matter how you wear your shorts. I still think you're having a Yoshi Jr.
