Hi- we are new to Oregon and PNW. You mentioned at the start of the video that you purchased a day pass (and mentioned an annual pass option) but you didn’t say what type of pass. There seems to be different passes for different parks or recreational areas. We have found this very confusing. We have a America the Beautiful National Park pass, but doesn’t work for state parks. What was the pass you purchased in this video? Is that the pass you recommend?

Hi Kay. That was a day pass for Washington State Parks. We purchased a year long pass for Oregon Sage Parks as we tend to visit those much more often. If you check the Oregon State park website you will find a link there to purchase that pass. Hope that helps.

Kim, your rose-ish colored jacket--Is it legit waterproof? If so, mind sharing which brand/style it is? On my last trip to the Oregon coast, my back was drenched after an hour. 🥶 Trying to not repeat that experience.
