Frozen - Let It Go (2023) [Minecraft Noteblocks]

After watching both versions, it's really cool to see how far you've come, not just with the visuals/cinematography, but your noteblock composing as well! The effects in the old version were already cool, but this makes it more atmospheric like your current work. The old song had great layers and harmonies, but this brings the notes more in sync and uses instruments/sounds that fit the wintery theme better.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I honestly thought my initial rendition of this song was untouchable ... It was the 4th Disney song I initially did after a year of getting used to Noteblocking. I spent over 2 months straight working on it to sync up everything I could for it. It was the first time I used the particle, fill and clone commands in a video (which all ended up broken when the Minecraft 1.13 update came in and changed how things were coded). I worked exclusively on it on my own for that time as my best friend at the time hated Frozen and only agreed to be in it when I allowed him to be shooting fire arrows everywhere. With this one, I have 11 additional instruments instead of the 4 I was limited to. My capabilities with commands made it easier to do things I'd never thought I could do prior. I now have a team of people I trust and cherish who help me out and I could do effects with my actors for the cape and the dress. I have shaders to make things more atmospheric ..... Yes. I've come a long way :)

(Consider this a continuation of my comment from the old version) Well, let's see what changed from the older version to this one, hm, I see, now it feels like there are more variations of sounds, that's probably because minecraft got new noteblock sounds, how cool, the whole "When you wish upon a Star" sequence felt so... more lively, idk... FIREWORKS ON THE CASTLEEEE!!! Are THE MAGIC SPARKLES ON THE CASTLE MADE OF SNOW PARTICLES?? Not sure, but that's could be a reference to how the whole disney intro was changed with frozen... only thing that left was playing "Vuelie" instead of "When you wish upon a Star" but... that's a bonus, the actual song didn't even start and I already lost composure, but it was very briefly, so it's ok * Song Actually Starts * Oh, this time there is an Elsa, wasn't expecting that, cool detail... Why is she wearing an elytra though? (Yup, I didn't get it at first... I feel stupid for that now... in my defense, I'm used with the concept of the Elytra's utility so I thought the character would need it at some point) The snowy mountain vibes in the background is soooo cool ' First "Let it Go" plays ' * Permanently loses composure from now on... in less than a minute of song (it's been more than a minute of video, but not of song) * THEY GOT THE DETAIL OF THE SNOW ONLY ABOVE THE HANDS AT FIRST THE SNOW GOLEM FOR OLAF APPEARED SO SMOOTHLYYY I WASN'T EVEN EXPECTING ' Second "let it go" ' NOW SHE DOES BIGER SNOW THINGS THAT GOES HIGHER AND THEY DID IT TOOOO ' "The cold never bothered me anyway" moment approaches ' LET THE STORM RAGE OOOON... wait, THE ELYTRA, I KNOW WHAT THE ELYTRA IS NO WAY THEY'LL PULL THAT OFF ' Elytra Flies Away ' YES THEY PULLED THAT OFF IT FLEW AWAAAAAY (and it was smooth, in the end I think I got how and it was genius) * Briefly RECOVERS composure * Oh, another Elsa... and another Elsa... ok then... * gets slightly disappointed the Ice in the bridge didn't change like last time, but remembers I'm the only one who cares about it and not even broadway did * * imediately forgets disappointment and completely loses composure again because... * ' Soundtrack of building castle moment starts playing (and it sounds GREAT) " THE CASTLE IS APPEARING AND IT DIDN'T JUST APPEAR ALL AT ONCE, IT APPEARED... IDK, ON TIERS, I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN, THE CASTLE IS APPEARING, THE LIGHTING THIS IS SOOO GOOD (All the sequence of the castle appearing was so smooth and the music itself got bip boop but at the same time instrumentalish (of course, within the limits of noteblocks)... creating your own version of the song getting ready for a modulation to come... I think that's what got me like that) Is Elsa starting to wear a diamond armor... THEY ARE GOING TO DO THE CLOTHES TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE... good idea using the diamond armor for that DID THE WHOLE SKIN ACTUALLY CHANGED??? IT WAS ARMOR BEFORE, NOW IT CLEARLY IS NOT, THEY WENT FURTHER The final note (that was actually 3 noteblocks) was a great detail Song is over, I need to hear it again Great work! Seriously, it's incredible how much work you've put on these videos, and I am AWED by the results, both the sound and the visuals... and I guess you figured by the comment (lol) I pay attention to details usually no one cares and I know and am OK with that, but the fact that YOU DID pay attention to some of those things... it makes the whole thing even more impressive... does that logic make sense?

XD .... The bridge stayed the same as I figured there was no way I could make it better than before. The Elytra was a complex set of command blocks which removed the Elytra my actor was wearing from their inventory at the same time someone else who had the invisible effect and was holding backwards and up while flying inside a small space under the first actor was teleported to them. It also added some snow particles just from them so it looked like the wind and her powers. I wanted to make the castle appear how it might have looked from someone watching from the outside. The movie swoops inside, but I wanted to take the difficult route and instead of making a hallway appear, make the castle grow into being :) I hid 4 pressure plates into the snow so it would first cover the actor in armour and the final one they stepped on teleported them down and a different actor with the changed dress into their place. I'm pretty good with Command Block trickery to make crazy things happen. :3 Oh right, the Disney intro. No, not snow, actually the particles from the End Rods, but it is a long string of command blocks being set off in a precise pattern .... which I think took longer to put together than everything else in the rest of the intro.

Several months, I believe. At least more than 4. I was fighting off feeling burnt out while I was building this and I had set an extremely high bar to overcome with my previous rendition, so that definitely factored into it. However, I am beyond happy with how it turned out.
