Fly through my world in 4k! Each block and command has been placed in sync with the song Wanchu Back by Aero Chord. This project was a big technological advancement for me. Gone are my days of trial and error block placement for music sync! I've created a new method to keyframe block positions in the free 3D Graphics software Blender with precision and place blocks automatically.
How did I do this?
If you're interested in learning how this works, or would like to make your own video with this technique, I have good news for you! I'm sharing a post that includes a full writeup explaining my entire process (with pictures), as well as download links to the scripts and .blend file I made to create this video. Available for my Patrons here: / 67831181
Just a heads up before you proceed, it's not a simple process. I'm confident anybody can create videos like this if you follow my steps. But as a precaution, I recommend you be comfortable with Blender object keyframes before signing up. Knowing python is not a requirement, as you can replicate everything I did in this video using only the Blender UI as an interface, but python experience will be very helpful if you plan on making any modifications to my code. I'll be answering Patron questions and updating the instructions to help as much as I can! Also, if you do follow through and make a video using this technique, send me a link on Patreon. I'd love to see your creation and share it with the community :)
Join on Patreon to automatically have a villager with your name on it in my next video: / doodlechaos
I include minigames at the end of each video where patrons earn points and move up the persistent lifetime leaderboard.

Great vid, but the blocks staying the same/not moving in tunnels was kind of distracting to me- I could tell they weren’t moving and it really didn’t feel like I was moving with the music anymore. I know how much effort went into this, and it is really REALLY cool... this is just what I thought of the new technique (Or maybe you bamboozled me and I’m getting this all wrong)

For anyone curious of how they even built this: First they build the map. Then all they do is run a command that teleports the player forward 1 block per tick. Some sections it also rotates the camera by 1 degree every tick, and some sections they went faster for that speed blip effect. In order to create that fantastic beat drop they even added some command blocks to briefly give them speed, increasing their FOV for that effect. Also, let’s not forget, they spawn a few fireworks every time the player gets close enough. _What about the blocks?_ Well there’s actually an area, which changes size through the map, which makes any blocks that get close enough to the player be immediately deleted. Its all a lot of fantastic work using command blocks! Edit: ah shoots. He explained it himself- 😕

It deletes every block in the square area in front of the player/camera as soon as it gets within 4 blocks. Quick explanation of what’s happening: So they build the map, with a ton of command blocks to speed up placing blocks or whatever, then they allocate for certain parts of the map, an area that is deleted whenever it comes within 4 blocks in front of the player, then all they do is run a command that teleports the player forward 1 block per tick. In order to create that fantastic beat drop they even added some command blocks to briefly give them speed, increasing their FOV for that effect. Some sections it also rotates the camera by 1 degree every tick. Some sections they go faster very briefly for that speed blip effect.

I can’t believe this. I have no words to describe how amazing this is, how beautiful and well made it is. I cried, I GENUINELY CRIED WHAT THE FCK? It has never happened before with a music video. The music, the dynamic lighting, the whole thing is amazing, it’s so so beautiful, so divine. I’m being serious, it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in all my years alive.

I believe the general structure of the song is meant to cause some sort of emotional feeling - judging by the melody that repeats itself throughout the entire song in a high key - guessing it worked for you ^^

This has gotta be one of the best uses of the replay mod I've ever seen. Recording simple videos is already hard enough, imagine how hard it would be to make this. Props

At first I thought it was the replay mod too, but the description says it was mainly made using blender with custom python scripts. Which I imagine would be a whole lot less time consuming.

as a command block expert, I understood it's creative process well, and I love the dedication of the render distance. I once had the same idea, but yes the render distance is the main problem when doing the final take, the video isn't majestic in the end as yours. Absolutely great job!

You gave me the feeling of experiencing that song for the first time, some 2, 3, maybe even 4 years ago... I thank you for that Despite never really being a Minecraft enjoyer, the visuals were everything... and back then I'd have so many explosive colors in my eyes mind- they all seem to dull down recently. You've brought it back, with this stunning video, and I again can't thank you enough (I know, it's not that deep.. but thanks!)

Haven't thought about this song in years...how strange I used to love it (still do) I'm sure some artists are still making it, but I really miss future bass. I was huge into it when I was playing Fallout 4 so it always make me nostalgic for that game Amazing video as always btw 😄

Minecraft has come a LONG way. I remember when minecraft was first released as a closed beta all we had was creative mode and the procedurally generated worlds weren't a thing yet, the good'ole days of minecraft creative building lmfao. I miss Notch, the dude was amazing and I enjoyed watching his videos programming minecraft, I actually got a copy of minecraft directly from notch when it was officially released and you had to pay for survival, met him many times in-game and it was amazing haha. Anyways, this is by far the BEST minecraft visuals I've ever seen, absolutely AMAZING job!

this is absolutely crazy- it must have taken so long to make!! It's cool how the camera moves in perfect time with the framerate (at least I think that's what it is) so that the block textures don't even look like they're moving.

it's crazy how it's a fov wrap without the warp. If you pause it's while it's happening you could see that it's just a bunch of slabs and enchantment tables making the illusion of stretched blocks. The way he does makes it so seamless. It's honestly crazy how well he did it

When I watched this I was thinking that it would be a good map for some rhythm game. If this is ever implemented, I would imagine the game would be kind of like osu! and beat saber, but on mobile and requires more than 2 fingers. Though I think this one would be one of the harder maps because it has places where you need to use over 5 fingers and I don't even know how to use 3 because I play osu! and I'm used to only needing to aim one thing at a time
