I have a working theory that Jon's actual Perception stat would be around 2. Supporting evidence: Makes porridge, ignores the game telling him he could put it in a Thermos, tries to put it in a flask, then when he eventually puts it in the Thermos he says "I tried to do that," not realising what he actually tried to do was _put it in a fucking flask._ Plus, his entire video on We Happy Few.

Every time I see you play a survival game it *really* makes me want to see you play The Long Dark. Yes it's still in early access, but I do think it stands up well as it is. They still haven't put the story mode in yet, but if you feel like the basic Sandbox mode is too open ended to make a good video/series out of, there are a couple of Challenges to complete. I think the atmosphere the game creates is fantastic; the snow crunching underfoot, trees creaking in the howling wind, your pack clunking around when you run from the snarling wolves and roaring bears. Yeah, the wildlife will ruin your day, but the elements are your real enemy, so every time you venture out its tense enough to keep things interesting.

This. TLD is a superb game without all those tropes survival games are associated with. It already has all the features needed for a very enjoyable experience, and it's being updated regularly. The experience itself feels pure, and the thrill you get from the survival is amazing. I find it that the environment is beautiful and immersive; Each region is beautiful and unique, with different challenges to face. I would totally recommend it for everyone who's even vaguely interested of survival games. As Aidan Rankin said, it's the best survival game on steam and will just become better over time. Just you versus the nature. I hope Jon sees this!

I feel Jon might need a little refresher on his biology, seeing how he called something that was very clearly a stomach, with esophagus and small intestine connected to it. Ingvar is, as someone already mentioned, a Scandinavian name. I live in Iceland and know a few Ingvars. Maybe The Long Dark would be more your speed: Still survival, still has the winter aspect to it. But it's a much more streamlined and pleasant experience. That being said, it will still kill you pretty quickly if you mess up.

Wow, this game desperately needs a tutorial :D Also, I believe that's not a kidney, that's a stomach. And one of those thirst icons was prolly a bleeding icon. This game needs a bit of a combat tweak, maybe also show the sound of enemies running towards you (as I would think that makes a noise) and maybe give deer peripheral vision exclusively, as their eyes are at the side of their heads.

THe one thing I find is that players nowadays come to expect certain things to either exist, be called something specific or do action xyz because...reasons. I feel it makes people lazy in not really wanting to understand the game, and just want it to be like 10 other games because they know those. I found this game rather refreshing. And I'm actually quite happy it doesn't use "the stimpack" because we happen to know of Fallout.
