I have RGA42 guitar. Active EQ is pretty good, but this function can be performed better by distortion pedal (I have ELECTRO-HARMONIX POCKET METAL MUFF) or external EQ. So, I rarely use this feature on my RGA42. I bought this guitar because of its appearance. It's awesome :) P.S. FrozenBlizzard plays with turned off EQ, as I guess.

Got a question for you: I´m planning to buy a RGA42, what do you think of the "active EQ" function? It´s the only thing that makes wonder if the RGA32 is better cause of the regular tone knob..
