I found Nightwish a couple of years ago and I’m still making my way through their albums. they’re amazing. I love how each vocalist has made Nightwish sound a little different. So awesome. We all have our favorites including me. There’s just something about Floor for me. But I honestly do love all 3! And I’m loving this song. Anette sounds great! I know this song is an insult to Tarja from the band, but trying to compare the three singers is really futile... Tarja's voice is more operatic, and she has a vocal range of three and a half octaves. Annette's is more pop and rockish in sound, but Floor has and can do the same as both of them... Each singer had their own unique voice, Tarja graceful, Anette more mainstream, Floor aggressive, I think what I admire about Nightwish the most, was that Tuomas and the whole band, they didn't try to replicate the same style as the previous singer and tried a new approach. You have to give them credit for that while still making great music, despite it would piss off a number of fans. Tarja songs, Anette songs, Floor songs, I loved them all.

Honestly I am happy both Tarja and Annette are making really good solo music. No freakin clue what Nightwish is doing with Floor. Tuomas spent over a decade writing songs for Tarja, and then had to put up with at least 8 years of hearing from the press "When is Tarja going leave Nightwish?" Anette's era was short but it is memorable,her vocals always will be in DPP and Imaginaerum and this will remind us how beautiful voice she has and how she has helped NW to grow more in that era. NW is what it's today because of Sami, Tarja, Anette,Jukka and Marco, great singers, great musicians all of them so must respect their past members. I still follow Tarja and Anette, they doing fantastic careers,i hope the same to Marco which i will support him too. I became a Nightwish fan in the Tarja era, since their first album but I always felt that the songs were built to complement her amazing voice, but weren't too great on their own. The Annette era had much better songs than before, using Marco more, relying somewhat less on the female vocals exclusively and showing more experience by the band. Yes, Anette was not a great fit for the band (she is more talented than most singers, but not everyone can do everything) but that only pushed Tuomas and the others to do better. The Floor era is putting everything they have learned to use, giving everyone the opportunity to shine, using Floor's spectacular and versatile voice as an instrument, to bring everything together better than ever. Every past and present (and presumably future) member of the group has imbued the band with obvious improvements, they are like fine wine. Marco will be terribly missed, but I'm sure whoever takes his place will add their own improvements to them. This song may be despised by some for the message it sends but it is an amazing one on it's own and I wish Floor would make her version of it. She has said that she refuses to sing it because she's friends with Tarja but it doesn't have to be about her or any ex-members, just a lost love song

Most popular on KZbin, where the mainstream audience gives more attention to mainstream songs. I don't dislike Amaranth or Bye Bye Beautiful, but Nightwish has way better work than that.

​@A M If you're talking about old work, before Anette, I'd say Nemo, Planet Hell, Crownless, The Kinslayer, End of all Hope, Wish I had an Angel, Wishmaster, Dark Chest of Wonders, Ghost Love Score, Elvenpath and Dead to the World. From the Anette period I also like Storytime.
