Hi Fritz and thank you for this very well explained video. I just get 2 questions : what is the usage of the 4G and gps antenna ? If I don’t t intend to add a SIM card I don t think I need the 4G. I will use my phone as access point to give access to internet ? Am I right ? Then for the gps as I planned to use carplay I think that the gps of my phone through Waze will by sufficient to navigate. Am I right ? Thx for your feedbacks in advance,

Hello my friend! Thanks to your video I was able to change the screen without any problem. When I start the car, I find that everything works but it doesn't stop the music when they call me and I can't hear the music from the carplay. Everything works except that. Any idea what it could be? Thanks!

Did this car have a back up camera already installed? I got everything connected and screen working but my car says no signal when I try to use my back up camera? I see there is a rear camera cable but nowhere to plug it into. Any advice?

Hello Fritz, I know that I am coming late in the game to this, but I just adopted my first BMW on January 25th 2024. I am the proud father of a 2019 BMW X1 sDrive28i F48, and my questions are: 1) It appears that I already have a much larger screen than is displayed in the video, I think that it is around 8+" corner to corner diagonally. Is it worth it to swap out with the Android screen? I use only Android phones so the advantage of having Android Auto is the plus. What are your thoughts? 2) I also have the Heads-Up display and my favorite map to use if I went with this screen, is Waze. That would not show on my Heads-Up display will it with the turn-by-turns, correct?

Hi, one question about radio capabilities on this new unit: Does it support Radio AF (Alternative Frequencies). From my experience these china units do not support it. So if you drive outside the city and depends on the signal coverage you change broadcast stations, your analog radio should automatically change it and not losing signal.

Mr. Ramos, your videos are great, however my issues is I have a 2018 X1 and have tired two different screens and in both cases all I got was a blank screen (had a local stereo shop do the install). I thought I saw something that suggested you could help with finding me a shop to do the install. I am in California, Murrieta zip code 92563. The small screen is killing me. I do own my vehicle, so I am not worried about voiding a warranty. Thanks, in advance!

Thanks for the videos! I installed a Koason 12.3" screen in my 2018 F80 M3. I coded in the aux cable since my car didn't come with one. With my phone connected to the screen via Bluetooth, I'm able to play music just fine. I don't have any audio for my phone though. Am I supposed to connect to my car, or the screen? The navigation in the screen has also never worked, but it does work using Android Auto when connected to the screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Es kommt eine Fehlermeldung, dass die Verbindung zwischen Display und Steuergerät gestört ist. Wenn ich zum TÜV will, muss ich immer das Original Display einbauen, damit diese Fehler nicht kommt. Gibt es dafür eine Lösung. Hello Fritz, I bought this radio on Ebay. It's for a 2015 BMW X1 F48, the radio works well, but I had a problem during the TÜV inspection. An error message appears that the connection between the display and the control unit is disturbed. If I want to go to the TÜV, I always have to install the original display so that this error doesn't occur. Is there a solution for this.

That's because when I called bmw they told me I could only upgrade to 8.8" but it would run about $3,000... yea ok. I'm literally waiting for my 10.25"screen to arrive as of 2/23/24
