Came here researching the swap, foubd a lot of your ibformation pretty helpful. Kinda funny on the fuel lines, because i noticed in one of the videos they clearly had the dash line dangeling over his shoulder but was never even mentioned

These are very important details that James should have or should be worked out. I don’t mind a premium price for the swap kits, as long as the quality is there. I have genuine interest in this swap kit. Your cage looks pretty sweet as well!

Glad I can help out. Whenever you're ready to make your purchase let me know. I am now a dealer for them and can get you a great price on any parts you need for your swap.

Great video mate, big help! Good info here considering the lack of info from Sikky. Going to try and get away without the subframe spacers myself as mine's just a street car so I don't fancy moving the geometry around too much but i'm getting close to this stage myself, being RHD from the UK offers it's own difficulties with a clutch master solution. I ordered myself a new fuel line to run to avoid the fuel line issue as well as cutting the evap right back under the tank, will see how that goes! Also ended up taking off the OEM strut bar mounts, the side ones came off really easily but the rear one required a bit more effort and just offers a bit more space back there. Just found out I need a shifter relocation with the T56 magnum as well!

Hey thanks for the positive feedback! I'm not really sure if Sikky is using the subframe spacers so that the intake manifold clears the hood. Give it a shot and let me know if it works out for you! Hopefully this video is a good resource.

They say the t56 magnum F fits with no problem in relation to the shifter location. If you're already ordering a magnum just look for the magnum "F" made for f body Camaros and firebirds.

Stage 2. I already had a wiring harness so I didn't need the stage 3.

Did you have to modify the stock steering shaft or use and extender for the steering rack relocation?
@WilderDrift2 жыл бұрын
I'm using an aftermarket steering column from FDF.

Hi! are you making a y pipe for your exhaust. To connect to your stock Layout?
@WilderDrift2 жыл бұрын
I did make a y pipe, but I made an all new exhaust system. 3 inch oval to the rear axle.

Where do you plan to mount the remote oil filter?
@WilderDrift2 жыл бұрын
There's a place on the driver side frame rail directly across from the power steering pump. It has a couple bolt locations that are very similar to the hole layout of the pedestal. I will probably modify it just a bit to make it work.
@bryanholmberg10422 жыл бұрын
Which way did you mount the billet mounts since the bolt holes are offset
@WilderDrift2 жыл бұрын
Based on the video from sikky and what I saw, I mounted them with the inset portion facing the rear of the vehicle. So if you're looking at the engine from the front, you would see the deepest part of the inset. Hopefully that helps. If you want to reach out on social media I can always try to send you some pictures too.

im trying to achieve the same build but is there a possible way to install the motor without the kit. what cons would i run into? my goal is to have a swap that is very budget friendly
@WilderDrift Жыл бұрын
You could custom make all of your mounts if you are trying to save some money.
@babyfire9417 Жыл бұрын
@@WilderDrift thank you for the reply! But also I wanted to know about the sikky kit. What parts do I really need from the kit and what parts are pretty “useless” so far I’m planning to put a 5.3 and pray everything will work out.
@WilderDrift Жыл бұрын
@@babyfire9417 everything in the kit is useful. It's all designed to work together, so if you use their kit, another brands headers might now fight or if you use a different oil pan, the sikky mounts might not work.

How much for one of your brackets ???
@WilderDrift2 жыл бұрын
We are currently getting quotes for manufacturing, but currently the price will be between $150-$200 USD. Once we can get these quotes and lead times finalized, we will then offer them on our website. Thanks for the interest!!

You have to modify the trans tunnel with your corresponding swap kit.

What does it cost for this engine swap cost for you to do the swap
@WilderDrift2 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you're trying to do. Not sure I can break the cost of just the swap down because I already had the drivetrain and ECU, but the entire car cost me close to $40k to build.
