Great video Steve! Could we see how to add in the elevator mix with the flaps and how to slow the elevators movement to match the slowed flaps?

I was able to swap the servo wires at the receiver to make the left hand control aileron/elevator. The right stick elevator which is now the throttle required me to create a curve which only starts the throttle at center stick. I used the elevator trim to create a small deadzone at left center throttle so that controlling the rudders was easier to do. How would you have gone about this change? Am I on the right track? I'm just getting the hang of it. I'm a new guy trying to figure out an X20S. What a leaning curve. Your videos are crucial. Thanks for making them. This transmitter and whoever made this Ethos is amazing. i can't say enough for it.

Steve, at 5:50, when you set up 3 curves each selected by one switch position, isn't it simpler (and same result) to have one curve and set input to "Switch A" in general (not a specific position of Switch A)? I have mine set up this way, and I don't see any difference in end result. I can edit the three points, and Switch A moves the output across those three points on one curve. Maybe there is some benefit to having 3 flap curves and using only 1 of the three points on each curve (as shown in the video), but if so I'm not understanding what that benefit is.

Is there a way to add flap trim? Like an elevator/flap trim mix so it can be adjusted in flight? Also it would be nice to be able to trim roll as well for each flap setting like on Jetti. Thanks!!

Would it be possible to make my ailerons also function as flaps? I get my brand new FX20S in the mail tomorrow. My first "real" transmitter. I'm so intimidated. I've never had anything more than a basic 6 channel with manual everything. Nothing fancy, in the 60-80 dollar range.

Yes, they are called flaperons. I will probably make a video on this.

@@steveschlesinger3459 That would be really helpful. I'm putting an FPV setup in an Arrows Prodigy and with the extra battery, I wanted flaps, as the extra weight will lead to faster landing speeds. But, I don't want to try adding a flap system to it. More weight, and running wires through an otherwise completed airplane is an all afternoon project.

Why are you only using half the servo travel? If I were setting this up, the flap curve would be 3 points, -100 and 100 on the ends, and the middle point somewhere between the two, depending on how much I wanted for my intermediate flap setting.

Exactly my thoughts, I’ve never setup flaps how he did in this video with only using 50% of the flaps available travel. One end is going to have a mechanical advantage and the other end not.

Hi Steve, Nice tutorial. Your last mod. You forgot the time changes as well. As you leave it 1sec down up 2,5 sec. This is not ehat you ehish down 2,5 sec and up 1 sec, right?
