Flew Futaba for 10 years (10J, 16SZ,16IZ and 18SZ) and never thought I'd change brands. Had 2 major holds on 2.4 in 1 week on 2 of my favorite planes. Checked out FrSky after a friend mentioned it, then felt an X20S in person. Two days later I ordered a Cardinal red X20S and a boxful of Tandem Rx's. I love this X20S! After a few days, I found FrSky to be more logical, easier to program and a better build quality than any other Tx I'd had. Not used to all the updates yet, (that wasn't really a thing with Futaba transmitters or rx's). Lots of helpful people in the community as well if you have issues.

Great review! As I mostly buy BNF at this point I'm still ok with my Spektrum radio, as you know, buy once, cry once. But the cost of receivers for my other builds are really high compared to other options. Looks like a great advanced radio, and the cost is amazing. Hope you have great flights with it!

I have many BNF's as well. In fact the majority of my fleet is BNF'S. There's a module you can get for the X18 and with a Lua script you can bind straight to any receiver. I'm still working on things transferred over with the hope of eventually selling my IX20

Im still rocking my old Frsky X12S on OpenTx. Cant bet the price of the Rxs and the telemetry add ons. All be it i am looked into using accst only, but i do have the 4:1 module for other protocol's. what are the differences in the black and the cardinal red limited edition? is it just the color and the flat switches?

On the x20s yes only diff. Is what tou stated. Between the red, blue, and black one.
