I am surprised the stylus epic underexposed the scene! I having been able to shoot indoors with great results using this camera with Fuji C200. No tripod, just handheld. Though this camera really shines with Ultramax 400. Can't wait to see March results from Beijing!

Thanks so much Gab! Upon reflection, more likely to be user error than camera error 😂 let's hope so anyway! Yeah maybe I should've used Ultramax 400 this year... it was a little more $$ though and I was trying to be frugal

I have no experience with the MJU II, but on my compacts, I'd definitely have to switch to macro mode to get sharp results, when going as close as you went in the hydrangea shot. But, you got some nice shots even with a few, that didn't turn out as you'd expect.

Thanks NP! No macro mode on the stylus epic, upon reflection, I think perhaps it was me being too close 😂

Is it the high contrast in those underexposed scenes? In the last few there is a lot of very white and very dark areas in the compositions.The more averaged light tone shots seem to expose okay.
