We used to go out on weekends for coffee breaks, but since I became more frugal I realized that making my coffee myself is more delicious and I get to save . It's also a good idea to invite a friend over as well. Times have changed and not everyone is able to go out for a coffee, but they enjoy being invited and I also enjoy being invited for coffee.

Your niece is such a smart pretty young lady. You are so blessed with a wonderful family that there is no need to spend unnecessary money because everything you need is home. Since the pandemic I also stop getting my nails and hair done. My hair is similar to yours so I just wash and condition it and either have it in a ponytail or Gibson bun. I recently found your videos and I am enjoying all the frugal tips. I was spending so much money without thinking of the future. Now I plan to scrutinize any items before I purchase and make sure if I really need it? And stop using shopping to filled a void in boredom. Thank you for sharing.

For a flavored coffee,use extracts like vanilla,almond,etc in the pot. Or,add a bit of ground cinnamon to the coffee grounds,or pumpkin pie spice. One trick is dollar general black cherry sparkling water instead of plain water gives good flavor,too.

Loved seeing your niece. I have a sweet relationship w one of my nieces too. For iced coffee I make a super concentrated coffee (once a week ) w instant coffee, tiny bit of sugar, stevia & optional matcha powder. I use about 1/4 cup of this every day, and add about 1.5 cups of watered down almond milk. (don't tell my husband I've been watering it down!) (-:

You need to add more water and beat it with a electric hand mixeer/beater. Its 2 cups of water to amount of jello you used. We use to make this when I was a kid. Can just put it in a bowl too. Also, add one container of cool whip fold in if you put in bowl.

I think, generally speaking, a lot of people confuse spending money with having a good time, and I think this thinking can be found in every segment of life: clothes, foods, fun activities etc. The sad thing for me personally is that I brought up my son without spending a lot of money. He was used to go to our local libraries, watch movies at home, home-cooking (every single day apart from maybe birthdays), be creative with what we already had at hand or just go out into nature and enjoy himself! Now he is 17 and suddenly his personal contentedness depends on money, can you believe it? He often says he can't do XY, because he doesn't have the money for it, but when we talk about it and I show him ways he can do something similiar without spending a cent, he doesn't want to hear it. I hope it's just a phase he will grow out of...

A frugal tip to add to this video would be: If possible, trade services. For example: If you are a hair stylist offer a hair cut in exchange for something else..like someone who mows lawns.... If you know a mechanic...ask if he would work on your car in exchange for something other than money; like some cooked foods or laundry or ironing. What about sewing... Lets say your trade is bookkeeping.. He can give your car a tune up or oil change while you do his taxes. Just a thought.

Hi Emmy, Can you share what you use for washing dishes such as the soap and scrubbers. I treated myself to Joyce Meyer Sponges and the occasional Scrub Daddy but they are not cheap.
@FrugalMoneySaver4 жыл бұрын
Love your user name by the way lol! I use Palmolive Ultra Antibacterial dish soap to wash my dishes! I wait until it goes on sale and stock up. Love that stuff lol. I use regular Scotch Brite non scratch sponges. I am actually looking into the dish cloths with the scouring sides so I can wash them and reuse. I have to be honest not a fan of washing my dishes with cloths though...How did you like Mrs. Meyers? I'd really like to know. I am always soooo tempted to try it when they come out with their autumnal scents but I have resisted thus far lol!
@DeeDee-vy7sz4 жыл бұрын
Silly me, they are Debbie Meyer sponges....I guess that there is a Joyce Meyer. LOL. The sponges are amazing, they last a long time and stay fresh and the scrubber side is great for cast iron stick on mess. My mom used Palmolive Original Green. I love it too and try to stay away from Anti-Bacterial stuff because of my dry well. I love hand washing dishes, it is relaxing and I don’t like the idea of a dishwasher.

I got my nails done three times in my life.first time,ripped my nails off. Second time the fake nails came off within an hour.not salons fault.i have a weird genetic thing.fake lashes and nails will not stick. Third time,almost lost both hands due to a horrible infection.nope.that aint for me,clearly.its cheaper,and more hygienic to do salon treatments yourself at home
