British colonial legacy. Introducing tea to Ceylon and building railways for the transportation of economic goods, including tea, hence they built the nice arch bridge which we now love to marvel.

We love delving into the history of places and the whole landscape here tells a story. It's so interesting. We'll be visiting a tea plantation in an upcoming video. A great opportunity to see how my favourite drink is produced. 😊☕

The home of the British man who introduced the tea plant to then Ceylon is at Haputhale if I am not wrong. I do not think it is very far from Ella. Nine arch bridge is based non old Roman aqueducts. Thank you for all your insights and keeping it real. It's tempting to organise everything from the UK but think we will sort it out when we get there. Was it last year that you travelled?
