THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! When I learned these signs a few years ago, most of them were fingerspelled, but now I know they have a sign, which makes me so happy, especially for the long ones. THANK YOU!

Thank you! I am HoH but grew up speaking English and am only learning ASL as an adult. I have trained my hearing dog using ASL instead of English and she LOVES strawberries as a treat. Now I can teach her the sign. 🍓🍓🥰🍓🍓

+Billijo Emanus Thanks! I plan to do one with images instead of words for the visual learners. Be on the lookout for these! :) Also, just a side note, there are many regional and generational variations for some of the food, so the signs I used in this video are not used by every Deaf American.

That should be good! My 12 year old is deaf and I'm having a hard time keeping up with her..lol. These help ALOT!

If you click on the "settings" icon at the bottom right of the video, there's a "speed" option.

Is there a sign for sloth?
@jessem25107 жыл бұрын
I am not sure, but the way i sign it is i make claw shapes with my fingers and hands for animal and then i take my pointer finger and slowly drag it up my arm for slow. So basically I am saying 'Slow animal', which is what a sloth is.

Yeah, just like "work" and "sex" and "shy" and "whore" I am HoH plus neurodivergent with dyspraxia/developmental coordination disorder, so I have to be really careful with doing the correct movements with the correct force so I don't accidentally sign something dirty.
@Reznic0076 жыл бұрын
These are amazing, thank you so much! I’ll have to practice my finger-spelling to be as quick as you tho haha Also I feel it’s such a shame so many things don’t have their own signs 😕

That's how I feel as a HoH person watching KZbin videos since YT got rid of Community Captions (a program that allowed users to transcribe captions for creators). Deaf/HoH creators and users protested and signed petitions to stop it, but YT said not enough people used Community Captions so they got rid of it. Now creators either have to upload captions themselves or enable auto-generated captions, and a lot don't.

I think you should learn all the signs for these fruits and vegetables before making a video, fingerspelling is lazy and some of the signs that you did make were wrong
@avery85574 жыл бұрын
some don't have signs. and asl varies a lot by region so the signs you think are "wrong" are probably just not used in your region. there's no need to be rude.
