I am a very new crocheter. Have been learning things here and there. And as today I came across this video following the recommendations of Elise Rose Crochet, I feel elated to discover that the hacks I have been using after coming across various itsy bitsy issues while making various projects are actually VALID! Though there are still a lot of things that I have to learn from you. I wish, someday I happen to finish making this blanket... I loooooove it. Thank you so much....

I just wanted to say thank for the blanket pattern and most of all instructional video. I have crocheted for too many years to remember, so didn’t really need/want to watch the video, but I did!! As I sat there following it (I had begun to make my first 8 circles got to the pink petals, watched the instructional and informative video - boy, did I learn a few tricks. I undid my disgraceful attempt at flowers, with their knot in the middle and my extra stitch at the end and my joining mess!!! Thanks to watching the video this old dog learnt new tricks. I now have centres I can be proud of, joining - where? and ends not coming lose, oh and not forgetting finishing the colours rounds. I am the proud owner of eight beautiful flowers, which look perfect. So I shall now watch the rest of the video and complete my rounds for my lovely eight perfectly formed flowers, thank you, thank you. I almost feel like undoing all my previous years of work ( but I won’t) - your simple techniques have taken crocheting to perfection. I did Persian Tiles and Frida too and wonder what I missed on those videos. Just goes to show you are never to old to learn!! Great Fruit Garden, and thank you for answering my query earlier. I am making this for a friend, who, you may remember is allergic to wool, so managed to get some lovely alternative make in a lovely cotton yarn called Rico, colours are subtle and delightful, but I did need your advice, so thank you too, for taking the time to respond in full with you advice. Stay safe, keep designing and sad to have to wait another two weeks!!! However in-between I am completing the marvellous blanket that is guywithahook, Spice Market, also stunning, fun to do and gloriously coloured too, which I am also making for my friend.

I have to say, never before have I had such incredible teachings till listening to you Janie! I feel like I can jump right into advance, hahaha! You have a style that makes understanding the world of crochet suddenly become simple! I can't tell you how many classes I've attended that I've come away from more confused then if I had just muted through on my own! I can't thank YOU enough! The best part, is sadly I wasn't able to get yarn as it is all sold out so I made up colors and NOW because of such precise educating I feel that the colors I've chosen will come out ALLLLLLRIGHT because now I understand how to complement when you share the color you're working on next. Thank YOU, Thank YOU, thank YOU! If you ever decide to host an actual class, put me on the top of your list please!!! Thank YOU! OOPS, not to mention all the little tricks...WOW!

In round 8 parchment colour where you begin to make 16 loops. Starting with 56 stitches, l am unable to get 16 loops.
