Fr. Mark Beard - A life well lived

Fr. Mark Beard passed away in a car accident on August 2, 2023. In his testimony for the Fruits of Medjugorje series, Fr. Mark shared the story of his life and his journey to priesthood. After university, Fr. Mark started working for the family business Beard Engineering and United Industries which deals with manufacturing and engineering wastewater equipment. While their business grew rapidly, Fr. Mark’s parents, both devout Catholics, saw that their son was going astray. At the insistence of his father, Fr. Mark came to Medjugorje, a village in the southwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Our Lady has been appearing since 1981. Fr. In THIS case, one really can't say that he's gone too soon. God's providence...is PERCECT! We rarely understand it. Perhaps God took him bc Fr Mark does more online passed than alive. IDK. I had just watched one of his sermons on KZbin and thought, this is a priest I want to follow. The next day I saw him mentioned in past tense and wondered if there was a mistake. Sadly, I learned of his tragic death. I can't help from thinking there was a nefarious agent involved in some way to take such an amazing man away from us so soon. l pray for him every day.

I can't explain why I am so interested in listening to Fr. Beard over and over again... I was going to write to him... when I found out he had passed away a year ago... This morning I was in desperate need of some important papers... I asked him to help me find those papers if he needed my prayers... I was in Medjugorje in 1990 also! There was an evening Apparition on Apparition Hill on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25th, 1990. A hush ran through the crowd at the time of The Apparition, and there was complete silence for several minutes even though there were tens of thousands of pilgrims amassed on the hill! I have never met a happier human being than Vicka. It's hard to picture her not smiling. Pray for peace and live the messages my brother! Thank You for sharing your experience, and God Bless.

So many young men not it only became stronger in their Faith after visiting Medjugorjre or even reading about it, but they were called to become priests after the experience. Fr. Donald Calloway converted to Catholicism after reading a book about Our Lady of Med. but experienced a call to become a priest. He chose a congregation with Mary in the title twice. This was after he was thrown out in f Japan for his fellow felonious behavior as a young man. Fr. Don’s mom and stepdad converted to Catholicism with him. God bless Fr. I was able to wander through KZbin and find this priest doing a homily. I listened to a few of his homilies before his early death. My heart aches as I remember the death of Fr Mark Beard. My husband & I have been hearing good things about Fr Beard so Easter Sunday 2023 we decided to attend his mass. 3 of my 5 daughters manage to come with us along with one of my 8 grandchildren. What a dynamic speaker, we were all blessed that Easter Sunday. Weeks later we hear of the tragic accident that took Fr Beard’s life. We were all devastated to hear this. I know, as an informed & educated Catholic, “ you don’t ask why”. We were educated in our Catholic religion that “ His work was done”…and this is the truth!!!

This man turned to God by Our Blessed Mother, will be in Heaven praying for so many. I asked my Latin Mass priest to celebrate Mass for his soul. Funny, how he warns everyone in his homilies that if and when he goes, if we think he is heaven, and not pray for him, he will haunt us. How great a thing it would be to listen to all the great things he said and help so many around "THE WORLD" for those who heard him. May God reward him for his amazing gift and knowledge. Dear Fr. Mark: I have been a listener and a follower of you just a month before your death. I have heard all of your homilies. They are like catechism classes for adults. Thank you. When you passed, I was on a cruise and offer a mass and prayed the stations of the cross for you and the Holy Souls in Purgatory. I hope by now, you are in heaven. I will continue praying for you until I pass. I ask only one favor; that you intervene and ask Our Lord to stop all these sightings and wars. Thank you. I go to confession once a week, mass daily and communion, and I am working on adoration once a week. I am 68 and began fasting for 10 days. Thank you for saving my soul. God Bless you.

@@trclm26 I’ve been praying for him but tonight I heard a clue on Jeopardy & the clue included 99 bottles of beer on the wall & last week, the song was mentioned on a tv show!
