Fruity Frozen Yogurt Fun Bars - with yoyomax12

The addition of Trix cereal to these frozen yogurt bars make them fun and colourful.
Frozen treats playlist: • Frozen Treats
1-14oz can of sweetened condensed milk
12 oz key lime pie yogurt
12 oz strawberry yogurt
1-2 cups Trix cereal
red and green food colour (optional)
Line an 8x8" baking dish with aluminum foil.
Divide the contents of the sweetened condensed milk can equally into two separate bowls. To one bowl add the lime yogurt and to the other strawberry yogurt, Add a couple of drops of food colour to darken the colour if desired. Stir until combined.
Pour the green coloured yogurt into the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle with Trix cereal and then spoon the pink yogurt over the top. Freeze several hours until very firm.
Remove from pan using foil. Peel off the foil and then cut into bars. Store in the freezer in a covered container.

you should pour some yogurt, add the cereals, let it in the fridge for some minutes and then add the rest yogurt on top.... that way they won't flow on top :)

I think something that they did to keep the cereal in place is they let the green set first with the cereal, then put pink on top.

Those look so pretty! But if you didn't want the cereal to float up maybe you could have just done the green mix and cereal first and then freeze it and then after it's frozen you could add the pink one? I don't know just giving out ideas XD

Perhaps the green layer should have been frozen before you add the pink yoghurt layer?

the reason why your cereals floated to the top is because in the book they froze the first layer and then added the second layer of yogurt. This way the cereals were stuck to the lower layer.

These remind me of those cereal bars that used to be a thing. Where there was like fruit loops over top a creamy milk layer. These look really pretty, yours looks better than the magazine photo.

I'm with Barb - yours are more colorful and cheery. I guess if you wanted them to stay centered, you might have to freeze the first layer with the cereal and then pour the 2nd layer. Whose kids would want to wait that long though? Clever idea.

I believe you have the first layer with yogurt and cornflakes to freeze for about 15 minutes. and then you put the second layer on it and freeze this again . The Cornflakes stay in the middle as shown in the picture. Thank you so much for publish this video

What you could also do to have the cereal stay in the middle at 100% you can pour the green you hurt and the cereal, freeze/ refrigerate it and then add the pink and again, freeze/ refrigerate it.

Perhaps if you put the green mixture in first sprinkle the Trix freeze it for 30 min then add the pink the trix will be set frozen in the green layer.

I think you we're suppose to freeze the green and cereal layer together first for a few hours and then finally add the pink later and freeze it all over night or until ready.

I think that would certainly be the best solution, but the original recipe (shown in the link in the description box) does not do that. I followed the recipe for this first try. I appreciate the suggestion though :)

My mother had done this before and she put the first layer of yogurt and the trix in the freezer for a little while and then took it out and put the second layer of yogurt on. The trix stayed in the middle because it was frozen in with the first layer. I hope this is sorta helpful!

Maybe pour the green , add the trix and put a layer of the pink Mayne about half of the pink, and then freeze for 10 minutes and add the rest of the pink and repeat until they are completely covered, just an idea :)

Maybe it would help to freeze the green layer + the puffs (so the puffs "sticks" to the green) before you put the strawberry on top? Even though it probably didn't say in the video, it might turn out more like the picture that way :) Looks delicious either way!

That look quite yummy! For me, I might reduce the condensed milk because I think it would be too overly sweet! This would be cool too in a popsicle mold. I love frozen yogurt! This brought me back to my childhood memory. In Vietnam, fresh yogurt are really great, especially when it comes in small candy packaging bag that was frozen and you just cut the tip at the end to smooch on.

Yes I think that would have been the solution, but the original recipe didn't do that and their's turned out. hmmm....I wonder if the photo was of a dessert actually made using the method in the recipe or the one you suggest.

Freeze the layers or at least let it set in the freezer. Add the trix as done in the recipe, but let it set in the freezer before a adding the second layer of yogurt. Then what will keep the trix in the middle and prevent it from floating on-top.
