Frutiger Aero and Liminal Spaces: Why so Nostalgic?

Today we have a look at the now largely forgotten aesthetic, dubbed frutiger aero, and liminal spaces. Both frutiger aero and liminal spaces rely heavily on elements of 2000s nostalgia, which might explain some of their recent boom in popularity.

I feel like 90’s nostalgia hit its peak in the mid 2010s, so this only feels natural that we’d have nostalgia for 2000’s aesthetics now. Crazy to see people whipping out the Ashton Kutcher cameras again 😂

It's weird, despite growing up right during the Frutiger Aero days (born in '98, so 2004 to 2013 is perfect for nostalgia), I never liked the aesthetic, and was glad it got replaced by the flat design of later years.
