FRV. Stagecoach Route 287. Barking Stn - Rainham, Abbey Wood Lane. Scania Omnicity 15001 (LX58 CDV)

Todays video is an FRV on route 287 from Barking to Rainham, Abbey Wood Lane. I’ve been wanting to do 287 for ages on an Omnicity. I was somehow allowed to get 15001 on the 287 and thankfully it didn’t rain. It was pouring 10 mins before I did the route and the rain stopped as soon as I was about to visual :) I was hoping to do the route during sunset, or atleast when it wasn’t fully dark but the bus decided to glitch and take ages to get to barking. It was meant to get to barking at 17:16 but it got there at 18:09 since the bus decided to wait 30 mins at Rainham Tesco then go back to abbey Wood Lane. The route was quite nice and the driver was fast :) I do recommend doing this route and I’d rate it a 7.5/10.

This wasn’t today lol I remember this day as I was on this bus next to you upstairs at the front with my sister and you then went back on it sitting down stairs at the back and got off at the 365 terminus and took a photo of it lol

I always go on the 287 to Rainham Tesco to get the 372 to Lakeside, but never got an Omnicity and always a slow driver. Very lucky RNG you have there Ray!

Great 287 Visual on Scania Omni city Ray! I must admit I wasn't expecting Scania ride but was expecting enviro 400,I do wonder was it a temporary allocation because they are short of enviro 400?

Thanks! It wasn’t a temporary allocation and it wasn’t the allocation, I managed to get a Scania that was on the route that day. The e400s were still on obvs

RM have kept 15001, 05 and 36 largely as spares at this point. No route at RM is formally allocated with Scanias anymore after LT’s were dumped on 248
