Back in Jamaica, we use the plantain skin to flatten the plantains, the first I ever heard of dish-towels

I love plantains....just not green plantains. I like mine sweet! I went to a Latin restaurant a few days ago & the plantains or tostones we're nicely cooked & crisp but I told the waitress they were not sweet. She said it's because they are green bananas. Lol. I was like oh...makes sense. I guess they are a substitute for French fries?

😂. I love the ripe ones too, it got that sweetness to it.

Aluminium foil on hot food is not healthy! Use grease proof paper if you use that method. But to avoid having to fry them twice just slice the plantains thinner and they cook in one go! Also fry in olive oil for a healthier and nice golden finish. Always use sea or Himalayan salts. 👊🏾

Omg sweetie don't say that AMERICA makes it so easy...we have everything here....where u use to live in Jamaica. You not watching the vloggers from here to see how we living...in fact don't need to use foil as it is not healthy

People cooking in foil. What are you talking about? Also, y r u worrying about a little foil and not about the unhealthy food people eating. 🤨🤨

@@ThatgurlPlummie I am so sorry that I did not write in proper English. My response was triggered based on what you said in your VLOG, "Merica makes it so easy...". Therefore, I was trying to point out that not just AMERICA; the world is changing. Jamaica is changing! There is development in every part of the world. People have different ways of doing things. A more health-conscious person than me you could not find. Not to argue with you, I simply wanted to say let us all be mindful of the information we put out there. On a positive note, your blog was interesting!
