Hello! Do you recommend using the PS100 in a separate wall socket to prevent other electronics effecting the signal or reducing noise?

I've been using my PS-2 for about a year now. I absolutely love it! My favorite piece of gear. I use it with my EVH stealth 50w and my Mesa Mark V 25. However, when I powered everything up today, I am getting extremely low output. I can see the tubes glowing. Any ideas on what it could be? Could it be the internal fuse? How often do those blow? Please advise.

I think my Powerstation 100 needs tubes. I'm hearing a fizzy raspy sound. I changed the tubes in my amp first and it's still there. Is see two Sovtek 6550we tubes and an unrecognizable Electro Harmonix 12ax7.

Is it possible with the PS100 to run a 100 Watt Marshall Amp cranked in silent mode without ac power ?

Not recommended as the Fan is needed too cool the unit down. The PS-2 and PS-100 have the same reactive load and the same Max capacity as a result of that. Having the unit off basically halves that. The 50w power amp of the PS=2 and 100w power amp of the PS-100 are irrelevant in this.

My PS-1 seems to sound a bit fuzzy and unpleasantly compressed. I’ve tried it with a couple amps. Could it be the PI tube?

Are the fryette ps2's universal voltage? Currently in America and I want to get one to use here but plan to use it back in my family's place in Asia which is 240 volts.

The voltage is not universal. You will need to change the power transformer for 240V operation.

I just got my new ps2 last week. But it can't work porperly since the phase inverter tube is broken. So what's the brand of the 12ax7 tube you suggest to buy? Ruby, TungSol, JJ?

Any one will work fine, but go with JJ. Easy to get and even sound. Not too bright or dark.

@@fuegosatsuma868 Internal fuse on PS-100 is 1A fast acting. PS-2 is 650mA fast acting. Both are 5X20mm size.

This was the problem with me buying a power station. Are you saying the BIAS is IC controlled or you guys don't care. I saw where the Bias being changed was void of warranty, and I have never owned a digital self biasing amp. I am not talking about cathode Bias which is subject to other conditions.

There aren't any bias trim pots in the Power Station. The entire unit is analog and bias is driven by a fixed analog circuit which keeps any pair of 6L6 tubes within the expected operating range. To change the bias, you would have to physically swap out the components associated with the fixed bias circuit, which would implicitly void the warranty. Hope that helps!

Basically the amp uses fixed resistors like Mesa does, the amp is biased pretty cold, so even with hotter running tubes the bias is cold enough to where even those tubes wont run to hot.

@@davew1134 Unfortunately, ​ you seem to be a victim of the Mesa Cold Bias canard. This malady is based on the proposition that any company utilizing the perfectly legit non-adjustable bias topology is by association doing it wrong, meaning idling the tubes too cold. @@FryetteAmps Never said you were doing anything wrong. There is a wide range you can bias a guitar amp tube. If you are using a standard fixed bias circuit which almost all non cathode biased amps use as you know fixed bias means a fixed negative DC voltage applied to the input grid of the power tubes. This can be done with a potentiometer or resistor setup. What I was saying most likely your amps are fixed biased at a much lower plate dissipation at idle so that even hotter tubes won't red plate with this amp. I know you don't use digital current monitoring to regulate bias. I find that most guitar push pull power sections sound good in the 55-65% dissipation range depending on the tube type and amp construction.

@@FryetteAmps Yes I changed the resistor value in my Mesa amps over the years to get the BIAS set properly and get rid of the crossover distortion and in their class amps amps lower the current draw to make the tubes no run so hot. I'm just assuming that if I need tubes for the power station I'm not going to be able to change the fixed resistor without voiding the warranty.
