This thing is a dream machine for blind testing (and not only A/B testing but A/B/C/D... testing) different amps, tubes transformers, components, brown boxes, speakers etc.. Especially if somebody tells that he or she has golden ears. Well, TBH, some people really have golden ears, but most of us don't. 😁

I have three heads (do not get excited: that includes a Blackheart Killer Ant and a Jet City Custom 5 Full Nelson) and two cabs; I may buy a ZMACS to eliminate setup time. EDIT: I think the amp direct outs might allow me to run other amps into the effects return of a future Synergy SYN-20IR head such that it would work as an IR host for my other amps!

A few questions I hope Fryette sees…. Are you able to run multiple amps into different cabs at one time? Or is this one amp at a time. Also, could you run all 4 cabs with 1 amp, or a maximum of 2? Thank you!

Yes, you can match a 16 ohm amp to an 8 ohm cab using the impedance matcing function.

What if I run a PS100 in the attenutator loop....would I need to have a cab connected to the cab out of the ZMACS? Or this would still protect the power section of the ps100? If yes I could have the ps100 always hooked up with all cables for live situation and silent recording at once....

yes it will attenuate all the amps plugged into the switcher, that's the idea of having a loop in the switcher, I do this with a PS-100 and a different amp switcher that can take 8 amps, I attenuate all 8 no problem, as a bonus the ps-100 also acts as a global effects loop for all 8 amps
