I think as you do, talking over as "live" in a one take sequence is very difficult to do, naturally, without mistakes... This might help your fellow You Tubers....In Broadcasting TV usually you would lay the video sequence you want down first, perhaps do this in several different sequences. Then Voiceover /dub the first part till you are happy with it, then do the next sequence etc...I worked with many famous Network Broadcasters through the years, very few could do a live voice over without making a mistake and remember some had a pre written script. It sometime helps while doing the video sequence to talk at the same time recording for timing but not record your voice. Might help to have key points written down as Headings, and rehearse to get the flow /speed right. This will make it slick.. So if you don't like what you said in a sequence just redub till happy.... If anybody gets more than one viewer that watches or subscribes then you are doing things right in my opinion. Just another very very important note, which many of our favorite You Tubers and reporters make big mistakes in, and usually go out on air and is annoying very annoying.... Pay big attention to your audio levels.. Its not usually editing that goes wrong in Broadcasting its audio......The main audio level make sure its correct thats why audio desks have meters, also make sure your voice is not too loud or fx or music...Usually, unless cutting a sequence to music the music is the last to go on Listen to your completed video on a small speaker as your viewers might be doing it could sound totally different than in a edit suite.

@@Huddison Perfect. ... So often your fellow You Tubers have the music too loud or the V/O........or worse still, the Master TX level low so we have to adjust the PC volume... I think if any You Tuber is getting any money at all...... then they are by definition a professional, so they owe it to themselves to be as good as they can be...In my day to train a Broadcast technician in Camera or Editing or Audio took 9 months to see if they were suitable after their training.....and 5 years to become a professional..

Good to hear that Northern Voice every time I want to learn "How To!" and how you make the difficult seem so easy I don't normally believe in coincidences - but I just asked on My Orbyx Forum any hints for making Flight sim videos because I want to improve the few I've made and took the UTUBE plunge - and once again - great minds think alike Thanks Huddo for all you do especially for us Old blokes!!

Thanks. I've very much focused on the 'hobby' side of video creation; rather than the monetary aspect of it.

Absolutely Brilliant Huddison! I'll add that I use Davinci Resolve for Editing, but I use OBS for recording/streaming. Also, Best advice on getting started? You're correct! Just do it! If the nerves are "But what would people think? Will they like it?" Your advice of "As long as you're happy with it, then publish." is perfect! If you new content creators are happy with it, then what does it matter if anyone else likes it! Obviously, you'll see what is liked more as Huddison said, and follow those paths, but even if you get Dislikes or negative commnets, forget about it. You were happy with it, and you WILL eventually get dislikes and negative comments. Best advice there, is laugh at it, and don't let it get to you. 😎 Great video Huddison!!!

OHHH.. And don't worry in the beginning about making and publishing a video every X days or whatever.. Just make them as you feel like it, and publish as you can. Don't try to "Schedule" and stick to it.. Not at first. Sure, being regular helps a lot, but if you're JUST starting, don't worry about a schedule right off the bat.. Give it some time, then feel out what your video schedule might be.

Great advice and tips there Aces & you are totally correct: don't let negative comments (if/when you receive them) get to you - what these people don't realise is that every comment, or dislike, further promotes your videos - so bring them on! 😄

Great video. It must be scary to put yourself out there for everyone and anyone to see and then give their opinion which might not be so great. One thing that draws me to your channel if your voice. There is a million videos that can show me what you show but you have such an amazing voice to listen to and your mic setting are perfect and this is a major part of why you are successful at this. I think most people can record and edit the content but with out being able to talk clearly and plainly they are never going to be able to make it.

Yes we do: I'm currently finishing off putting together a route for a Vintage Livestream, where we can all fly together - hopefully, we'll all be flying older aircraft like the Spitfire or Junkers, Join the Discord (link in the description) for further updates on this.

A mix of OBS and Nvidia G-Force experience. Nvidia gives better quality, but much larger recording file sizes.

Thank you for your tips. I have started with Da Vinci Resolve but problems of synchronisation between the video coming out of the Xbox (at 50 frames per second) and the voice off which I am trying to add...after 8-10 minutes, the lag is brutal.

Yeah, I am into Resolve, but I use OBS to record. I use Resolve only for editing. I'm not sure how to set up to record XBox.. I don't have XBox. Just PC.. sigh... Wish I could help. But glad there are options that Huddison can help with! 😎

@@AcesDwn1 thank you mate, I did it eventually. Minute after minute of editing on Resolve. It was Resolve 15, I'll try with the latest version. Their OFF voice adding is maybe better. But I definetely think that it has to do with the Xbox recording of images (50 per second). It's in French but chapters are in English and I don't want to be a competitor to Huddison whose videos I like very much :)
@AcesDwn1

@@frenchtiger I know in Resolve, when you add your first clip to the Media Pool, it asks if you want to set the project to the video FPS. I always say "yes"! lol I do change to match FPS of the video I add to media pool. That may not be your issue, but just a thought.
