Get ready for a huge hours long mandatory update when you turn on your sim.I’ve moved to Aero fly 4 because it only takes less then a minute to turn on.msfs took over a half hour with out updates

I used to fly a lot in VR and before there was update all the time that keep messing things up. 90% adjusting settings and 10% of flying. That what pushed me away.

I'm on su15 beta, today I saw an ai plane take off out of heathrow and it climbed out straight and high as it should. Not take off and circle the airport with nowhere to go like it has since launch. It looked amazing. The traffic looks like it been worked on and its finally behaving more realistic. AI boats seemed to move again now after being broken for a long time.

Thanks for the updates! I really hope that these 'city updates' actually allow for detailed city-light viewing far greater than what's current. I can be parked at KEWR and barely see the outline of the buildings in New York city. The skyline should be lit up like a candle from that distance!

Voice chat over radio channel would be cool. But then they would need to simulate real VHF radio coms. But with a request to speak to option you could establish a VOIP session between two or more player :)

I haven’t played MSFS in 2 years at least, since playing on my GTX 770 with 2gb of VRAM. I watch your videos regularly to check the updates, and I can’t wait to play again soon but I might wait until MSFS 2024/2025!

If they can fix the bug that causes the menu to disappear when returning to saved games, that would be awesome. That and letting the flight continue after a wi-fi hiccup I would consider must-haves. A "would-be-nice" feature would be a random-airport button, as it's often hard to decide where in this sandbox to play.

What I really wish they'd do is release a World Hub that actually lives up to the name, because right now calling it that seems pretty grandiose when all you can do is edit airports a little bit. I would like to see them allow submissions of local landmark buildings. Perhaps require including a photo along with the coordinates so they can better judge the quality of the object. Vast swaths of the world will never have 3d photogrammetry buildings and it would help fill in those places.

It appears that the decathlon achievement will finally get a fix. You will be able to complete this by selecting 'Activities > Landing Challenges > Famous/Epic etc' that are labelled as Spotlight Events rather than waiting for another 5 years for any further spotlight challenges to actually getting released.

Me too! The first thing I did in map mode was to fly over my house, and it was surprisingly good. The height of the house is still a little wrong, but it's incredible how accurate many of the other houses and ground detail reconstruction is.

Good mention of MSFS lacking voice chat, but the real underlying issue is MSFS support for *mulriplayer* is weak couple of hacks added one at a time. I.e. there's nameplates & AI SimObjects with non-usable API's and the plane identification and xbox usernames are essentially useless.

What I'd like is a WW1 section for MFS; Fokkers, Camels, Nieups, Albatros, Gothas, HP0400, and so on. And multiplayer. That'd be great.

It surprises me for someone that does all this cinematic footage of Flight Simulator in his videos after years you still haven’t removed that silly and annoying menu handlebar at the top of the screen. Options to do that have been available for years too.

Using the radios in the planes for a unicom/ctaf or enroute voice chat seems like a no brainer to me. Except that I can imagine a lot of fools "in range" would be clogging the frequencies with nonsense.

Have they added all the real buildings yet? The first thing anyone will do is fly to their own house and you... can't. The last time I played it they only had major buildings and everything else was procedural. I can't understand why.

That has always been the case. You buy the sim($150 for me), then you buy the study level aircraft that you are truly interested in. This is nothing new and A2A's aircraft all cost as much as FSX did originally and I own everyone of them. Flight simulation is an expensive hobby, so you have to be picky about what you buy or it will bankrupt you.

we have aircraft that are cheap...by captainsim and bredok3d and they are terrible, you get what you pay for. it takes time and attentiveness to do very different tasks from coding the systems and effects to 3d modeling and animation to texturing. then cut that cost to develop into a niche market that might sell only thousands to 10,000 copies instead of hundreds of thousands or even millions and the cost per purchsse escalstes quickly.

Just do what I've been doing since the FSX days. Pirate everything. I've barely bought a couple paid addons my entire life and I've pirated probably over a 100. It's so easy for MSFS as well

Maybe he has it set to low. For me in VR realistic turbulence and live weather can be a bit nauseating so I set it to low on occasion. Perhaps the 2024 version will have the physics we are after.
