I was laughed at but I had good foresight when I bought my new system a year ago with 64GB. DCS World also really likes this 64GB, especially when there is a lot of AI or online, I regularly go well over 32GB. So I'm not surprised that MSFS 2024 will like that 64GB too as ideal specs.

When discussing Xbox performance they didn’t give a complete answer and it came across to me they we’re still not sure how Xbox would cope, surely by now they should know exactly how it performs on Xbox unless there not telling us for some reason, I want to get excited about the release but I can’t so it’s game pass version for me then I’ll see👎

Thanks for the helpful video. I listened closely to the developer stream when they spoke about Xbox performance. A mixed message, I thought. It sounds positive that they have identified additional Xbox memory for the sim. At the same time though, I believe 2024 will make greater demands on memory resources than 2020. So, it's not clear to me how things will net out. Will the avionics problem finally be sorted?? Guess we'll wait and see.

F24 no good for me as my internet speed is a miserable 15mbits/sec. I'll stay with fs20.

There's not an urgent need for 64 gig of Ram, unless you aim to max all settings.

I bought 64gb, but it looks like unless you are a creator, it might really not be necessary. I guess I will keep it because at some point in the future maybe I will need it, but shame on me for jumping the gun and buying it when the first spec table showed up. I did want some faster ram though, so at least I got that.

Let's not give it a fanboy review. While expecting the best presentation ever it turned out being the worst. Besides the usual barrage of stupid questions, they totally failed to answer the two most important one's with nothing but gibberish. That is Mission access and VR improvements. They essentially dodged them both. In fact on Missions he actually tried to deceive us by first saying they were not blocked and then in a confusing way saying they were. He sounded like a U.S. politician. Most of all, NO (NONE) of the new major selling points were ever even mentioned. If I were a newcomer they gave me NOTHING to convince me to buy this sim. Martial even looked like he did not want to be there from his facial expressions. And he talked in gobbledygook when he did have to say something. Good thing I had sub-titles so I could actually understand his non-answers for a change. I like these guy but this one was horrible. You don't even have the usual KZbin bloggers repeating what they said because they didn't say anything worth reporting. Most the stupid questions were from fanboys who want to look important.

@@Hedgehobbit The Career mode is going to have 2 to 4 million pre-made MISSIONS. But you cannot get to them until you complete a ton of training, get a license or two, and pass a test or two. Avid simmers hate that. They want the blockage removed. When asked about that Martial (I think) gave a two sided answer because he did not want to say "No". But Jorg has hinted that it might have to be removed. I personally think that it is stupid to have the use of the missions blocked. Many people have been simming airplanes for decades.

@mesillahills The missions are part of the career system, but you don't have to do the training. Just pass the check flight. From the playthrough I saw, a check flight costs 10,000 credits, and you start with 30,000. So if you are an experienced simmer, you should be able to get three licenses before having to do any missions to earn cash.

@@Hedgehobbit That may or may not be true but it is not my primary issue with this Developer Blog. It was jus plain horrible as it relates to a MSFS2024 reveal AS PROMISED. Absolutely nothing was covered as it relates to new features. Zero. They did not even mention the main thing, their improved detail or the thousands of added items. Animals were never mentioned or animation as it relates to air movement and wake turbulence. Balloons, gliders, blimps, never mentioned. THESE ARE MAJOR NEW THINGS. They took a bunch of really stupid technical questions from over sexed fan boys and skipped the entire purpose of the event. Is Jane out of touch too ? Even Jorg was unusually silent as they spent way way too much time on new airplanes just for starters. I almost fell asleep. It was no reveal. It was a bore.

To be fair, there were many questions that many of us wanted to know. I am a 'fanboy' of MSFS - it's fantastic IMO!

10:48 . Huddison showed the huge staute but did not comment. I just wanted to add that it is not the famous Christ the Redeemer statue by Rio. It's a new statue about the same size and also near Rio on a different mountain top. Was finished being constructed in I think 2022.
