PMDG 737 Tutorial: Master STAR & RNP Approaches with FSiPanel 2020

When I saw the length of this tutorial I thought it was quite a long time to set up and fly an ‘ordinary’ VNAV’ approach. What I didn’t know (of course) is that for over a year I had been leaving out so much of the config….. and how I actually managed to land at all was a minor miracle. Thank you J-P for a double tutorial…..how to programme the FMC for VNAV and set-up the truly amazing FSiPanel. The ‘re-set’ feature in FSiPanel is a stroke of genius btw…..thank you. 👏👍

Hello JP, I love your software (both the P3D version and MSFS) and it is great that you keep improving it. Would it be possible to also introduce a Take Off position so that it would be possible to change airport and be positioned on the ground through FSI panel without having to go through the MSFS main menu?

Hi J-P! I get to REEBO and then I change my alt gauge to 800 feet, and leave it there. the thing is: The airplane won't descend below 800 ft. How did you get your aircraft to descend below 800 feet? I did find out if I lowered the altitude to like 100 feet, it will go down to 100 ft. I don't know how you did it, and I've watched the video about 3 times now.

Hi, this is normal as the aircraft will capture the altitude on the MCP window except in APP mode (ILS approach). If you check at 35:10 on the video, while established on descend and earliest when 300ft below missed approach altitude, you must set it on the window, therefore the aircraft will continue its descent to the runway and in case of missed approach you have the correct value to level off.
