I got a $40 battery powered compressor from Amazon. It has 3 pressure levels. Didn’t spray anything good no matter what paint/thinner ratio I tried-until I swapped its airbrush with an Iwata Neo. I went to heaven !!! Beautiful combo. 50/50 paint/ thinner ratio. Beautiful coverage. Zero splatter. Zero orange peeling. Zero hassle when cleaning. I became an airbrush man.

Glad to see the band back together on a Friday video! I have the original No Name battery compressor and bought the piece to allow me to connect one of my Badger airbrushes. I picked it up to use when traveling, so I have not used it too much so far. I like the battery power indication and extra battery included with the newer model. The only thing missing is a way to adjust the pressure. Be cautious when charging the battery as the bottom of mine bulged out a bit the first time I charged it.

If the battery had deformed (gone potato) you do not want to use it. We suggest contacting Spraygunner and seeing if you can get a replacement if it's still within warranty.

Those little compressors are great if you do any travelling. Easy to put in a suitcase, quiet enough for a hotel room. A little wonky with my Passche H, cycles on and off constantly, but sprays well enough. Works fine with double action airbrushes. The airbrushes that come with the compressor are not too bad.

Two years ago I purchase off Amazon a Chinese double action air brush with Mac valve, I believe the needle nozzle combination is also a .3mm, can't remember exactly. This was a battery powered compressor kit, with spare battery, and all the bits and pieces this spray gunner kit came with except the paint cup was removable and came w/3 different size cups. Paid $40 plus S&H fees. I bought it for quick spraying of small items. It works pretty good as a test I painted a Tamiya panzer II in desert colors as the tropical camo #1. I had no trouble with it, the paints were Tamiya thinned 70/30. My only concern is when the batteries start to depreciate and not hold a charge. They are different than the spray gunner version so they won't work with my battery operated compressor. I imagine the spray gunner air brush is a notch up in quality than mine as well. But so far so good. Thanks for the video, and photos of IPMS NATS-2024. Maybe next year in Hampton, VA.

I've used three different types of Cordless airbrush units, and airbrush comes with them isn't good at all. Cordless compressors sometimes die, or timing of usage drastically reduces after 10 times. Also, compressor charges via type c, but won't charge through other type c cord other than type c cord comes in the box.

Makeup airbrushes like that one don't really work all that well in my personal experience, for model paint. I'm sure they are fine for makeup, their intended use.

I recently bought the Ghaaleri Barbatos Rex Swallowtail Commemorative Airbrush set along with the airbrush display stand & fan pattern air cap for airbrushing larger projects like plastic model ship hulls,plastic model airplane feuselages,and plastic model big rig & trailer kits.I didn't want to just buy any of the cheap Chinese airbrushes that are so prevalent on Amazon;or Harbor Freight's new Blackwidow trigger style airbrush set as it comes with Bees wax to better seal the threads and not have any replacement parts should something break or gets lost,and there is the fact that Harbor Freight's brand new Blackwidow trigger style airbrush doesn't have the self centering needle nozzle which is a superior design when compared to the traditional screw on nozzle.Although the Bucasso branded trigger style airbrushes are of decent quality and have been selling like hotcakes;thanks to KZbin hobbyists like Barbatos Rex doing test review videos on all kinds of hobby tools & hobby paints saving the average hobbyist the headache of having to do their research before buying a hobby tool/finishing supplies and not having them function as advertised.
