I was searching for a solution to electricaly open and close the led bar cover in my truck and your wiring gave me a very good starting point. I even think you can turn the lights on and off with that same switch without much of a hassle since you already figured out how to rebuild the most complex part of the circuitry. Thanks for sharing, your video gave me a insight how to finish this thing that have been bothering me for months. In my country it's illegal to drive on road with uncovered led bars and I'm just to lazy to get off the car in the mud or rain to open it

I'm about to tackle the same on a few fb rx7s. Have the harnesses, but the relays are the not around anymore

i am a bit at a loss... why did you do all this when the popup oem harness already provides you a simple solution: one wire to open and another one to close it !?

would it be possible to tap the headlight on switch into the up circuit to make them work as OEM? might be a fix that works in order to get everything working with OEM controls.

Nice might actually have to try this on mine once I get the car running first and learn how to solder a bit more
@FSOMedia4 жыл бұрын
I have very very little solder experience lol it's a good way to practice. You already got the whole chassis wired up so this should be pretty easy for you 👌

hi can you look at the diagram from a 91 pontiac firebird with the automatic pop up headlights after converting my 91 to 84 for the kitt replica the 84 headlights have 6 wires where the old 91 only had two i think the 91 got the relays on a board installed by the firewall where the 84 have the headlights motor relays on the headlights motors therefore more wires any idea how to hock it up got the down to work but the up is not working

Hey man love your 240sx wiring videos they’ve helped me so much, just got my rear lights all working last weekend thanks to you! Now I’m onto the front, What size of wire did you use for the two power wires? I built a harness for them last night but it’s all 16 gauge.. thinking I may have undersized?
@FSOMedia3 жыл бұрын
I used 14 but 16 should be okay. Factory is either 16 or 18 for the headlights

not how my motors for headlight popup works..?? I made it only 1 5 pin relay and a on/off switch :) But if it works for you, fine :)
@Daxxifyy Жыл бұрын
So couldn’t you just tap into the motor harness wires instead of taking them off the motherboard and then replacing them?
@Daxxifyy Жыл бұрын
I’m about to do this myself so just curious if I have to take the motors apart or could I just use the stock wiring and internal relay!
