I love the watson battery charger with the adaptor plates, really is awesome when you need to charge many different battery types, you just switch out the plates. Plus it has USB ports on the sides.

Excellent idea for any photographer, as most of us don't need such a large industrial electrical power station like yours LOL. But thanks to this idea I will make a smaller charging station for my 2 Power EX MAHA's (for my 16 AA's) and 5 camera chargers (3 for my main and 2 for my backup camera) plus add a shelf or most probably a pair of drawers for my USB cables, tether tools stuff and power cords) Keep everything neat like you guys. Very very helpful video. Thanks for this awesome idea. For all those complaining about the fire hazard, just make the station for your needs and use fused power strips, in case of a power surge you just blow a fuse :-)

The Godox flashes with their famous lithium ion batteries would reduce your batteries by 5 fold!

We use AA batteries for so many things. We have about 8 for our wireless mics, then 6 for all the wireless mouses in the office, plus electric deadbolts, pocket wizards, flashes...it's not all just the speedlights.

I've never had much luck with rechargeable batteries in my small AAA led flashlight I use every day. They are Enveloops I got from Costco.They only stay bright for a little while then go down pretty quick.

The way you describe the light output seems standard. As voltage drops so does the total output. Also if you're not aware using rechargeable batteries in a flashlight can degrade the battery's health, just a heads up if you're unaware.

I find I can't tell when eloops are charged or dead. Not the best charger indicator. So, I usually just end up using regular batteries and throwing them away after a job or two.

Can y'all do a video on why y'all use Nikon for photos? I use my D810 for both video and stills but would love to know why y'all don't switch to like sony.

We've been with Nikon for 15+ years and don't want to reinvest in all new lenses. Plus we have tons of batteries and from our tests we still think the D800 series cameras produce better looking images than the Sony. Mirrorless is def gaining traction but for us the DSLR is still king. Sony is amazing though no doubt

Just buy a lot of batteries. Twice as many as you might need in a days time. You can have batteries charging at home while you are out shooting. You don't have to bring every battery you own for a shoot.

I've had several of the Newmowa chargers and they just don't work that well. It takes forever for them to charge. I've also had problems where, one side would charge faster or not at all. They seem fine at first, but within a few month, the problems start. So, the design, I find, is pretty flawed. I decided to go with a more traditional charger that this one. At the end of the day you won't be racking your brain because your batteries didn't charge. Great video. Just what I needed, as I'm about to build a big charging station.

Interesting. We have about 7 of these chargers and I don't think we've had any issues so far after using them for about 6 months

Possible I had a lemon. I know I bought them when they first came out years ago. So, maybe they've fixed the problem. I'll have to give these another look because the idea behind them is great for on the go.

Not a fan of USB chargers because they charge too slowly. The next generation USB-C should be faster, but meanwhile I'm sticking with regular chargers. I can completely understand how it would be more useful when traveling to different countries though.

Isn’t it a huge fire hazard having everything going to just one powerstrip/outlet for everything?
@FStoppers
@FStoppers 7 жыл бұрын
These chargers pull so little power that it isn't a big deal. The single outlet is rated for 20 amps which these chargers can't even come close to pulling at one time.

After it all catches fire you won't have any batteries left therefore it taking less time to charge any of them.

Yes, we have taken many of these same tools and permanently built them into tupperware boxes that we then carry with us on the road. Some of the PTW BTS videos show our "tangled mess" method but in the last 8 months we have fixed that issue in a more organized way :)
