What did you think about Coach Norvell's comments?
@Pe0plEateR Жыл бұрын
I got the feeling he was holding back some tears when Corey asked how he was feeling. I'm also glad that he was excited about the '13 team celebrating with LT. I was concerned that Norvell wouldn't have liked the distraction. No doubt Norvell loves his players and this program.

We need to improve on the slow starts. For the 2nd time this year the Noles looked flat in the 1st quarter against an unranked team. Obviously they were looking past to UF next week. That non-intensity is poor coaching and needs to be addressed. Other than that, when the team warmed up were great. No doubt the team will be prepared to play the Gators. Prayers up to Jordan Travis for a full recovery.

They were really on for LSU, so it REALLY does have to do with playing down to the other team's level. I mean, I love these guys but I've been watching a few other games and some of the teams out west are scary good. This year at least, the SEC is not the gold standard. Washington, Utah, Oregon, holy moly, you are NOT gonna spot them a couple of touchdowns the leisurely Southron way and expect to catch back up in a playoff game! They're all, like, Yankee-twitchy JUMP on it and WHOMP it - blink twice, you're 35 points down.

I like Norvell and he has done a tremendous job of rebuilding this back so quickly. My biggest issue is we still are going through the motions against lesser teams. I personally believe Jordan got hurt because he felt like he had to put the team on his back. He should never feel that way against a garbage FCS team that was running a trick play ever 3rd time they touched the ball. I realize it is football and this could have happened at any time against any opponent but it seemed readily apparent (at least to me) that was how it went down. We should take every opponent seriously. We are barely 2 years removed from the Jax st embarrassment. That happened and maybe they just watch the 4th quarter of that game every time we play some team not as good as us. I understand it is human nature to relax when you think you have it under control but that is when life tends to kick you in nuts. Be better in these situations.

That’s why you need to focus on the task at hand. They weren’t prepared. Kept playing injured o lineman. And it cost you. Travis should’ve been handing the ball off with the o line pushing them around. No reason for him to even take a hit.

You would think that a coach that lost to Jacksonville state would’ve learned his lesson about overlooking teams. The team was so unprepared that your Heisman Trophy contender at QB is having to run against NORTH ALABAMA!!!! No excuse. He didn’t have them ready to play. In the same breath he’s done an amazing job to get us to this point and I hope we have in Tallahassee for a long time but tonight should be a learning lesson. This one will hurt for a long time. Literally had to hug my wife and comfort her as she cried her eyes out. Jordan Travis is the most important player to come through this university in a long time 🍢🍢
