What people don’t want to accept or realize from other fan bases is that they played the is game with 25 of their starters/ 2 deep, so if they were in the playoff we know that number would likely be 1 or 2 like Georgia was for this game, also again it’s different going undefeated in a power 5 conference, where you did everything right and got left out by a committee of non players/coaches. But people forget that FSU was still ranked 3rd in coaches poll and 4th in Ap poll after the championship week game, but some how not in the top 4 for the corrupt CFP poll

it's not just pride and look at ohio state for a similar result. the portal opens before bowl season. that pulls depth away from your team before the bowl. and the NFL draft pulls your starters. eliminating the transfer penalty was great for students, but this shows how there are too many forces pulling the players away from the team during bowl season. so, is the season over, or not? if it's over, they should be able to leave. if it's not, then they should stay put til the bowls are over. but we can't have it both ways and we can't blame the players. i blame the NCAA for not foreseeing this

Bad culture. Uga got left out too and unlike fsu they actually had a very real chance to win the natty. Yet uga players showed up and played.

@@kaii231they didn’t get left out they lost and fell out, it’s different than going undefeated in a power 5 conference, where you did everything right and in your words “got left out” on committee non players/coaches bias, FSU was still ranked 3rd in coaches poll and 4th in Ap after the championship week, but not in the corrupt CFP poll js

FSU got taught the difference between to big boys and the wannabes. Depth! But the opt outs are not a sign of a healthy program. Bama didn’t have opt outs last year under similar circumstances.

Please stop! Georgia was playing PWOs in the 3rd qtr. the only reason why FSU was undefeated was because they play in the ACC and they beat a weak LSU team and slipped by a mid Clemson team. Wow and the talking head said FSU was at the “panicle of college football”

I’m sorry I don’t give a damn who is not playing or playing, no power 5 school should lose by 60. I’m not a UGA or FSU fan but I’m glad they left FSU at home. Embarrassing to say the least as a CFB fan. FSU is a glorified G5 program in a bottom ass conference. Quit blaming ESPN, the committee, NFL bound players, like half of UGA’s players aren’t going pro in the first two rounds. Just quit. Grown men sounding like school girls watching a girl bball team.

How is it that Georgia is in a very similar situation and instead of players opting out, they played. FSU players opted out and I mean no offense here....but they pouted and quit on the team after what happened. Why is it Georgia players want to play for eachother despite their own disappointed and FSU players want to opt out and not be there for each other? Sure it sucks but there is a difference in culture that Georgia had this year and FSU didn't. Be mad at the idea that the FSU players chose not to be there to make a point. Think how much things change for FSU if guys play and you BEAT Georgia out there. It's a program changer, yet the coaching staff and team culture couldn't keep those guys on the team and THAT is the issue FSU fans are ignoring. Everything you say to make excuses for the FSU players goes for Georgia players too, the bowl meant nothing to them either, but they stayed for one more game.
