The more I watch this video the more I'm amazed. Probably the best audio/video production I've seen of a drum line, and I've seen a lot of 'em. I don't know how you did it without a tremendous amount of exacting work. Seamless. Flawless. As to the drumming, pretty decent. I like the little funny stuff in there on the snares. That was new to me.

This line is smaller and tighter than your usual college drumline. Does FSU have a competition vs game day drumline? Interested for my son if he doesn't end up marching DCI.

Not an official answer, just an old alum of Big8, there is only one drum line at FSU, Marching Chiefs “Big 8” Drumline. It’s very competitive to make the drumline much like in DCI, and many of the members march or have marched corps as well, but this is not a requirement, just mention to highlight the caliber of technical ability and musicianship required. Big 8 is a brother (and sister) hood and ripe full of tradition starting with the name. Edit: forgot to mention the line size varies depending on talent pool of each class coming in. As for this video in particular, depends when they shot, maybe some members were not available at the time of recording.
