[FT] Fairy Tail (PS4) - Mirajane vs Seilah

Finally the game let me use Mira! I hope she unlocks other magic that doesn't have fear on them. Fear in this game is more of an annoyance than a hindrance.

to be honest , they should've give a transformation skill for the Strauss Sibling as well as Lucy and Erza..... where each transformation skills give them a new set of skills aaaaand the Dragon Force for each Dragon slayers

This fight just reminded me how disappointing it actually was in the anime and here doesn't make such a difference. I just can't get over the fact that Mirajane being significantly stronger in regular Satan Soul than Elfman in his king of beast form couldn't match Seilah etherious form while being in Sitri while Elfman defeated Seilah in one punch in that same form way weaker than Mirajane Satan Soul! A fight that could have been a great one had the author made Mirajane use the Macro on herself was quickly wasted. Besides how did she manage to make use of a Curse, different from Magic and apply to someone she didn't even know was there with them in that floating Cube?

If I remember correctly, Once under macro it can always be activated at any moment from anywhere. However it is annoying that elfman was even able to damage her while sitri basically did nothing. If anything mira would've been calling him to his death. I really wish this was just a really cool fight for mira to go all out against a demon. I wouldn't mind the help from her siblings but I was also disappointed that the one time she faces an opponent she can't stomp, she gets stomped

Troy I’m in the same boat as you! Mira is my favorite character there but she was so undervalued while having so much potential. We never saw a really tough fight in which she pulls herself the way Natsu and Erza do. Regarding your comment on macro, Seilah did say that after using it on someone she could still use it remotely on that person. However Mira did not use it previously on Elfman and it was her first time. Did Hiro mean to say that by stealing a part of her macro she also got the ability to control all the people already affected by it? I just wished that Mira used the macro on herself ordering her to protect her family and being controlled by macro she could have absorbed the weakened Franmalth and Ezel through the tentacule demon and somehow mixed them with her satan soul to create a completely new form that would have obliterated Seilah (and Lamy as a bonus haha)!

@@godfrey1812 agree!! Even though that tentacle demon wasn't such a presence, I was hoping she could use it to either regenerate herself, or absorb the essence of Ezel and Franmalth. And if she took over Lamy, she could have used the slippery curse to be immune to the books Seilah used. Regarding Macro, if she could have stolen the control from Seilah, I thought maybe she could have used it to weaken Seilah, like to reapply her limiter or to overwrite her control, then the plot of Elfman coming to her aid might have been a bit more convincing, considering that she lost control of her Macro

furfirman yeah I thought of that but given the scenario where she was already running low on magical power I thought to give a less amazing option that could have been more realistic given the conditions of the battle. Having easily subdued Lamy earlier for Seilah’s appearance, maybe she wouldn’t have thought she was powerful enough to have an interesting power to use. But for sure, a combination of absorption, slashing and slippery curse added to her souls and amplified with limit remover would have been the best scenario as we would still want to see her going all out on a powerful foe and winning. Since the author always seems to bring the family ties maybe after obliterating Seilah she would then start attacking Lisanna, Elfman would them come and try to protect her but not to avail and it would be only because Mira would then remember about her past trauma and the power that initially was about to break them apart but got them closer that she manages to take control and undo the transformation. I could stay here for hours and rethink all of Mira’s fights to find what I think better alternatives but at this point I admit it’s easier for me to come with that but for now Hiro is the Mangaka and made Fairy Tail among other things. If I were to achieve the same then I could allow myself to be very critical of his work haha!

@@godfrey1812 I always think of ways to rewrite mira and her fights to really give us what the show implies she can do. Of the S class wizards she doesn't get what she deserves imo. I also thought it was weird that she absorbed those demons and nothing seemingly came from it. She uses sitri from the start and we don't see her do anything with it. And if having macro allows her to use it on all previously affected then I think it would've be a good twist for mira to uses it on seliah(altho she only realizes this after elfman comes) but I still think it could've been written in. I also don't like that after taking her soul she doesn't get a new form but instead turns into seilah herself

It's not that i don't like turn based rpg games. But i think animes need to be action based games. Like you should control the character and make them fight. They should make games like Dissidia Duodecim. It's a game that is way ahead of it's time. And has really really good controls/action mechanics.

I disagree entirely. Thank goodness a company wanted to try something different besides releasing shitty anime fighters. My main gripe is that Gust is known for low budget stuff so I wish another company was able to work on the game instead. Dissidia is done, as much as we loved the games the devs themselves didn't like them hence why NT is a thing and you see how that failed in the West. I'm down for another anime RPG as long as it has more effort put in than the Fairy Tail one. I say this as someone who wanted a Fairy Tail Musou years ago.

Shigeo Kageyama let’s not forget Final Fantasy games mostly uses this type of games :) turn based games was always a final fantasy thing. But yes, games like Dissidia and Kingdom Hearts and RWBY are just so good since you really feel like you’re in the battle because you can move around

I think Cyberconnect should get the rights to Fairy Tail. The way they do cinematics and boss fights is perfect for an anime like this
