Damn what a shame. Beautiful plane and was flying well too. I just looked at possibly ordering this yesterday after having missed out on V1. I read specs and downloaded new manual and I thought I remember seeing somewhere that this was rated for 3S only. Now I'm curious and and going to check again...maybe I'm wrong and got it confused with a different model. Hope you post a video of the remaiden after repairs.

I have one, honestly really nice looking plane but doesn’t fly very well. Motor get extremely hot after 5min of flying on the 3s. Not for the 250 price point at all

Yeah, website says the v2 model is configured for 3S ONLY. Sorry dude. What a good looking plane though.

I downloaded the manual and read the specs section that said the ESC was 3s-4s capable, I took this to mean the plane was set up to do 4s. It is not set up for 4s. but it is a great flying plane. I would say you should get it before they are out of stock. Just only do 3s.

I think this thing flies great. and yes EXC still gets warm on a flight. Be sure to let it cool down between flights.

If you plan on flying it much I suggest making vent holes to allow air to exit the electronics compartment to help with cooling, it does get pretty hot in there.

If you email FT that will send you a 3d printed frame for a vent hole reinforcement.

One thing you will notice on this plane is that there are no air exit holes. As such you will have no cooling flow over the motor and esc. Exit holes need to be added.

@@dustinhiett9594 Actually, I did, but I didn't find it until after I posted my comment. My apologies. I ordered one, and I'm kind of regretting it already. Did you add any stabilization (AS3X or Aura 5) to yours? One of the folks at Flite test said it's not needed---but I'm still relatively new to the hobby and everything I own has AS3X and Safe. Thanks for your input

I did use an AR630. And set it up with AS3X. Flite test is right as you do not need a gyro, for that matter on any plane. If you are using AS3X and safe I’d say get a receiver with it and set up to what you Normally use. It is a great flying plane. You should not regret the purchase. It’s still got vertical for days on 3s.

yeah, it's a good looking plane, but that's it. I wouldn't buy it anymore, and regret I did buy it for it was way to expensive for what it's worth. The ESC was really very low quality. I hit with the prop once the soil and it immediately burned up. I never had this with any other plane when Prop was stopped by the ground. I tried to get a warranty exchange of the ESC. But nope. Then I changed it myself with a D-Power ESC and put the new, bigger Motor from Freedom Fox Version 2 in. But I^m still not happy. I have to say I like my FMS Piper super cub much more and even the Durafly Tundra is a better plane and both cost less. Sorry to say it, but with this me being a fan of FliteTest came to a really low.

Fair points. I have not had an issue after my crash running 4S and now only using 3S. It’s flying so good now. Much like a cub.

I got burnt when I bought the first version. Very poor quality construction. Boxing was inadequate. Customer support was non-existent. A beautiful plane. Shame Trent didn't go through Eflite, would've been worth buying. Don't think I'll take a chance on V2.

This version is great if you stick to 3s. I also did an airflow mod and now the temp is not a problem. This is a great plane that fly fantastic.

I don’t think these motor and prop go well together mine get stupid hot after just 5-6min of flying and this fly like it has a very high wing loading even though it not not too heavy so it doesn’t float all that well like a stol plane should. Definitely a regrettable purchase for me
