I have had the chance of meeting Sir MM Alam back in 2010/2011 . We were a group of friends residing at Paf base Faisal, where mr MM Alam was given a mess room as his residence. I still remember I sketched a fighter plane on paper took it with me and presented to him . He signed it as well . A thorough humble gentleman indeed. Let me tell that the room he had half of it was filled with book racks . There were so many of them. He had a sofa for sleeping and no bed . This doesn’t mean that the Airforce didn’t take care of him but he himself lived so simple. It was a brief meeting in which he took time off for prayers as well . We were truly inspired.Indeed he was true to this nation ,truly patriotic , our hero , waqai May Aik mard e momin . May Allah give him highest place in Jannah .

Thank you for bringing 7th September 1965 and MM Alam in this beautiful setting with Rtd Air Marshak Arshad Mahmood, I loved the story of our heroes back then. I am really disappointed and hopeless about the current involvement of the Army in the critical Political situation of Pakistan, and the corruption of big dogs in the country. I love my army but with sadness Army has lost the respect of civilians. I am a patriot Pakistani but I don't like the corruption and their involvement and treatment with PTI and Imran Khan.

I have the honour to have some association with Air Marshall Arshad when he was Chairman PAC Kamra and VCAS. A wonderful, friendly, soft spoken and pleasant personality. Regarding movies on our war heroes, PTV has produced a TV play on Rashid Minhas probably with the cooperation of ISPR. A similar TV play may also be made on the life of M.M.Alam. And ISPR doesn't have any shortage of financial resources.

@@hdiwpodcastgood program but sometimes you provide incorrect information. For example, MM. Alam was not a bengali but you keep repeating the same in several of your podcast. Alam sb was little junior to my dad in PAF and we knew him personally. He was Urdu speaking from bihar and like most biharis, his family moved to East Pakistan from India during 1947.
@ahmedkauser9996Ай бұрын
@@hdiwpodcastAM very smartly dodged the questions and didn't tell the truth. MM Alam had highlighted some irregularities in PAF to the then Air Chief whose family was directly involved in the mischief....when unheard, he approached the then president Gen. Zia Ul Haq. He instead questioning the ACM, took disciplinary action against MM Alam! He was retired prematurely, his pension and other retirement emoluments were withheld. What a shame! Zia did this because he was very close to Anwar Shamim from their Jordan deputation days. This AM is either hiding facts or is completely ignorant.

Hi Shayan! Another interesting discussion. Air Marshal appeared to be a decent person. But you could always make out that he also suffers from wrong notions about partition. Indians never conspired with the British to divide India. It was the present day landlords who used Jinnah as a frontman to achieve their goals. Also The British wanted to create a buffer zone to control communism. You should request the Air Marshal to devote sometime to watch & listen to Prof. Ishtiaq Ahmed, who i believe is the top authority on partition. My best wishes & love to you. Stay blessed.😊
